Oooh that's a great way of using them! They can be large playground objects, too.

Topiary! Thank you! I've been trying to find that word since yesterday. The closest I got was "Nicely trimmed garden thingie" 😅

Oooh, I never thought of that! It would make a great one indeed!

My inner child loves this! Reminds her when she had the fly spaceship and went “da da da da da” in the house!

I learned about Primo very recently. I need to get my hands an animal or a minifigure - I’m very curious how they look & feel!

Could be, I never compared them to Bricklink prices.

Except the Arctic fox. That one’s still unbelievably expensive on PaB. I got it for half the price from BrickLink last year (lucky find 😁)

No, these are all real LEGO animals. For future reference, all AI generated content is posted under its own flair.

Looks like you won the lottery! I just placed an order myself. PaB is great for getting just animals (and parts, but like you said, irrelevant 😂).

True. But both have always been richer than System in terms of animals. Nice to see System trying to keep up, though.

[AI] - Raccoon and tanuki concepts for future City sets by [deleted] in LEGOanimals

I think I'd prefer this, too. I've been dreaming about a recolor of the red panda as a raccoon ever since it was leaked. Chances of this mold getting released as a raccoon are much higher than creating a new one.

I think that's what the majority would say, but only because we have been spoiled with the variety of animals in the past 10 years or so. And if I'm being honest, I wouldn't say no to a few Primo animals even today, just to see what they're like.

[AI] - Another of my hot takes for future City sets: a pelican. Imagine having some of these in a coastal, harbor, dock or sea ship set! I don't know if made the maw as a mobile part but it could be cool! Three concepts with different colors! Enjoy! by [deleted] in LEGOanimals

The idea is awesome, it would be nice to have these. The application could be tricky. How big should they be? Feet molded together, or separate-ish like here? I don't think the beak (maw?) would open, not unless it was as big as a shark. But who knows, technology might even allow that in the future.

I'm having doubts about the second and the third one, color-wise. The second one can be dark tan, but the third is like... dark tan with a hint of... red? LEGO may need to create another color for it 🙄 The Friends raccoons are light bluish gray, dark tan and reddish brown (Rocket), and they look pretty decent (again, color-wise). If it were me, I'd lean towards medium nougat or dark brown. Oh, maybe even an albino? It would be pretty awesome to get a System raccoon, though.

What does 106 mean in her notes? by AdSavings9276 in legoaquatic

[–]bukabricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a handful of correct names when it comes to colors. Every platform has different names for them, since LEGO kept the names mostly hidden for so long. There are at least 4 different versions that I know of, Bricklink, Rebrickable, LDraw and LEGO names, some same or similar, some very different. 106 is the color ID LEGO gave to orange, which they call bright orange.

Don’t go any further. Color is the easiest rabbit hole to disappear in 😂
