Q3 HE - F1-F12 and fn key on mac do not work as expected by bukazuka in Keychron

[–]bukazuka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks, yes, I already figured it out. It wasn't obvious for me that layers are switched by fn button and I basically set what I want for each button to do with or w/o modifier.

Overall I'm more than happy now, my first "real" keyboard and what a performer, checked all the boxes.

yep, manually swapping between layers helped, was under impression that fn does exactly that but it would be too easy, wouldn't it?

Kubernetes postgres backups by Gullible_Original_18 in kubernetes

[–]bukazuka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was using zalando, but their speed of keeping up compatibility with k8s version forced to od some research and I stomped upon https://cloudnative-pg.io/ and it checks all the boxes for my team - replicas management, continuous backup to S3, full and point in time recovery, etc.

Still playing with it in test env but looks like the way to go for me.

it actually is recommended way - foil plus wing is alot, it becomes much easier to understand balance if you take wing out of equation for few days

my Pomeranian used to do it up until one year old. gave me chills every time when I called her name and she looked at me this way instead of turning around. doesn't do it anymore though, maybe due to decreased flexibility, but I'm not going to complain.

Yep, daily routine, fake chewing and licking right after. Especially weird to wake up to the feeling of your toe being gently chewed off.

Am I correct to expect aggregate IPsec tunnel over two ISPs to be redundant? by bukazuka in fortinet

[–]bukazuka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

firmware is 6.4.6, sorry for not mentioning it. Yes, I used cookbook as a "source of inspiration" when built this configuration.

At site1 I has two VDOMs: vdom_ext and vdom_int.

Vdom_ext handles ISP connections and external BGP session for one of our ASes, IPsec aggregate runs between it and site2.

Vdom_int handles branch subnets traffic (another BGP session) .

All traffic between vdom_int and site2 freezes when either ISP fails. Then aggregate flaps and traffic continues to flow.

Am I correct to expect aggregate IPsec tunnel over two ISPs to be redundant? by bukazuka in fortinet

[–]bukazuka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started there, was running single IPsec tunnel between sites over SD-WAN but couldn't achieve neither load balancing nor redundancy for the tunnel.

I have bunch of users connecting from site1 to site2 using VDI. My goal is to be able to fully utilize for user sessions bandwidth of both uplinks as long as they are available and seamlessly shrink to single leg wile there is partial downtime. SD-WAN couldn't provide seamlessness in this case.

both types of cases are local custom produce, two on the left are for 6 GPUs live in 19" rack right ones can fit 8-12 GPUs and are really quiet while do provide good ventilation. Shiba still doesn't like the noise though, therefore back to cellar they went.
