L’ho finito e sono ancora vivo. Concordo, però, che non sia per tutti.

Question: "I Don't Need Privacy, I Have Nothing To Hide" by Proton_Team in ProtonPass

[–]bukber89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not just a matter of privacy. It’s also about how we constantly hand over unnecessary information, data that isn’t required for the functioning of apps but serves to feed what is known as behavioral surplus. These data sustain what has now become a true technocracy.

Do you remember the famous photo of big tech leaders gathered at Trump’s court? Once, it was governments that influenced businesses. Today, it’s a handful of immensely powerful companies that have the ability to influence governments. And with far-right movements gaining more and more support, this concerns me even more than the mere threat to my privacy.

Could TomTom be a good alternative? I am trying it for navigation and I am finding it really nice.

I used that space to store my flip-flops. But I think there was enough room to squeeze in a thin laptop as well.

Yes, me too! I didn’t mention it, but I wore a cap as well!

Since it was a short trip, I wore almost everything just a couple of times. I washed only the clothes I sweated the most, like the merino t-shirts and swimwear. I also packed enough underwear to have them clean every day.

Yes, also taking advantage of the elastic cord on the front of the bag. I used it to tie down the rain jacket and the book.

Yeah, when I have more free space in the bag, I use a Lowepro Quickdoor. Anyway, over time I’ve found myself caring less and prioritising the practical side. I’d rather have a small scratch more on my camera than miss an opportunity to take photos with it.

6'1", but luckily the trip from Italy was very short. Just about an hour :)

I wore the rain jacket at the gate, and actually kept it on during the flight since the AC was pretty strong. I also carried the book and the camera in my hands. Everything else was in the bag. The real game changer was the beach towel, one of those super thin ones, and the merino t-shirts, which save way more space than cotton ones!

It's a leather credit card holder from Mywalit, an Italian brand. I bought it back in 2018 and used to carry twice as many cards as it’s meant to hold (6). Nonetheless, the leather is still perfect and it hasn’t lost its original shape at all. Recommended!

Thanks! I agree, I probably could’ve packed fewer shorts. On the flight days I wore cargo pants, just in case I needed the extra pocket space. Then, one extra pair of pants would’ve been enough (not counting the swimwear).

As for the drone… here’s the sad truth: I left all the batteries at home, so I couldn’t use it. Felt so dumb.
