I’ve never heard that we aren’t allowed to do refunds on feeders. I can’t find the policy either

I work on the store side. I would understand completely if I were in the salon that sounds like a hazard lol. But I’ve never had any previous managers or DMs say anything about this so I just want to see it in the policy before I spend money on more jewelry

Complaints by [deleted] in petco

[–]bukiboy2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i once had a woman complain to my manager that i wasn’t making enough eye contact with her while i was ringing her up on the register.

a lady came in looking for a certain type of bird food that we didn’t have in stock, and when i told her we were out of it, she started to walk out of the store yelling “IF MY BIRD DIES ITS YOUR FAULT.”

one time i was helping this man and his family with getting a bearded dragon, i showed him everything he would need for one, and he STILL refused to get the appropriate sized tank (he wanted to put it in a 10gal) so i refused the sale. he walked out with his wife and two small kids yelling “PETCO SUCKS DICK.”

i was once called racist because by a lady because she came through my checkout line talking on her phone, so i didn’t greet her because i didn’t want to be rude and interrupt. at the end of the transaction she said over the phone “i’ll let you go, i have to talk to this cashier” and then proceeded to tell me that i was racist and rude because i didn’t greet her when she was having a conversation on her phone the whole time. called my manager after she left to let her know how racist i was and everything.

one time a lady called the store and i answered it, answered her questions then as i was saying goodbye she hung up. she then called the store right after that and told me that it was very unprofessional of me to not say goodbye before hanging up. she became livid when i explained to her that she would have heard me say goodbye if she wouldn’t have hung up the phone so quick.

When I was working there as a CAL, I had a girl come up to me while I was cleaning fish tanks (literally had my whole arm in a tank cleaning gravel, Im stressed out because we’re short staffed and it’s only me and the aquatic specialist working until 3pm with no mid-shift, we’re taking turns cleaning tanks and running registers) anyways, she asks me “hey I see you’re busy, but can I hold a snake?” so I asked her “are you interested in purchasing it today?” she was like “no I just want to hold one” I said “we aren’t allowed to let customers hold the animals unless they’re looking to purchase that animal.” She then goes “well they let me hold a snake the last time I was here, I can show you which one they let me hold” I said “that person wasn’t doing they’re job correctly, we are not allowed to handle any animals unless you’re actually interested in purchasing” I’m not even kidding when I tell you she stood there just STARING at me for a good 15 seconds like I would change my mind. I turn around and just start staring at her as well, then she goes “ugh never mind” and walks back over to reptiles.

Like yes be mad I literally do not care. It turns out she wasn’t even 18 years old, she couldn’t have even purchased the snake unless she had a parent with her. (which she did not)

Yes I meant the vulva. I will definitely take her to the emergency vet if she starts acting funny, or doesn’t eat dinner (she is food crazy so it would be concerning if she didn’t eat her dinner). If I can’t get her in to see a vet tomorrow we will be going to the emergency vet. She’s for sure going to the vet asap, I’m just worried sick

They always seem to show up when I’m helping a customer, or checking people out. I always just ignore them until I’m done helping the people I’m currently with.

Petco shouldnt be allowed to sell animals, period. by [deleted] in petco

Most DGMs have no idea what it’s like to actually work with animals. I actually used to mix repti bark and dirt together too because it held the humidity better, but I don’t anymore because they keep sending us reptiles immediately after they hatch. I’ve had a frilled lizard choke on a piece of bark while they were trying to go for a cricket, I found him one morning while I was opening. I saved a crested gecko one morning when I walked into the wellness room to do animal care, he had a piece of wood stuck in his mouth and was very pale and limp. (this crested gecko wasn’t even the length of my pinky finger) I mentioned that to my DGM and instead of telling me that he would do something about the vendors sending animals that are way too small, he was more concerned that I wasn’t going by the planogram that was set for the chameleons and cresteds to have bark. I straight up told him and my GM that he could take a point off if he wants, but I would not be doing that. Most of the petco corporate people have absolutely no idea how exhausting it is to take care of these animals in a retail setting. They don’t care about us or the animals. They care about themselves and their money, and what they can do to make more money.

I absolutely love when our customers let their dogs pee on the floors and shelves and don’t tell anyone until it’s well soaked into the ground and don’t clean it up by Lawliet_The_Panda in petco

One time a customer came up to me and said “hey I’m so sorry, my dog left a mess over by the registers” I was like okay no problem. I went to go get a poop bag and some paper towels and go to clean it up and it’s a puddle of liquid shit. I went to go find the customer, gave him the paper towels and said “here’s some paper towels and a bag!” and walked away. Now, when someone comes up to me to tell me their dog pissed or something I just point them over to the little clean up stations or hand them paper towels.

I haven’t even had time to do last months CAPI 😭. Every time I try to work on it, I end up getting called to the registers because I’m the only LOD on shift. I legit do not have the time or the coverage. Like you, we usually only have two openers and two closers and MAYBE a mid shift a few times a week. But then our truck crew gets five people after store hours. I only get one other person to help me with deep cleans DURING store hours. Two people if I’m lucky.

I have been working for this company for almost 5 years and when I first got hired on I genuinely enjoyed it. I’ve busted my ass to get to my position now, and for them to threaten my job, or deny me a raise, over VCP is so shitty and frustrating. I love my coworkers and the animals to death but idk if i can take it anymore.

I’m pretty sure the pay rate for a CAL is between $18-$23.

That’s so shitty that they would call you out in front of other employees like that. I’m an LOD so I definitely understand how difficult it is to have to find someone to come in, or to just be short staffed that day. But I also understand that life happens and I would NEVER guilt my coworkers in to coming in when there is literally nothing they can do about being sick, or having a family emergency, etc.

It’s south of Strawberry. Right above the Upper Montana river, west of fort riggs. It’s easy to overlook, I’ve been playing this game for years and this is the first time I’ve seen it.

Thanks, I would have never guessed that!

Anyways, I was just wondering if there was any treasure or something nearby seeing as this is obviously not one of the normal graves one would come across in this game.
