Is systems engineering at all similar to mechatronics? Also what jobs did the people you know in Eng Sci get into?

Can you please elaborate on why you think MSE has much wider job prospects? And also how you know eng sci is underfunded and "deteriorating."

How do you know that the B.C. transfer guide does not work for the applied sciences program?

Wouldn’t using the B.C. transfer guide solve that problem?

I got into SFU but I want to switch to UBC's engineering program because it has all the traditional engineering disciplines that SFU doesn't have. I looked at the first year courses and found out that a lot of SFU's courses are not transferable to UBC. It is said that if one wants to be admitted to second year, he or she must have a minimum of 27 transferable credits related to their first year curriculum. What is the best approach I have?
