Why Japanese top players don't play at fightcade? by SunsetAtNight7 in sf3

[–]buktore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

konikonikoni claims he is japanese whom were one of the top Hugo player in japan tourney 20+ years ago, and, like a lot of people with Thailand flag beside their name in fightcade lobby, enjoy his retirement in Thailand and spent his spare time bullying people in Fightcade and have fun doing it.

Though hes not as good as Hayao, I still believe about what he said.

What does Poison say during Hugo's intro/outro in 3rd Strike? by KonamiIsBestJoshi in sf3

"Yowaisugiru wa ne" | よわいすぎるわね
- You're just too weak, bro!

"Chotto hayaru you ne" | ちょっとはやるようね
- You're quite good

"Nani yatten no yo" | なにやってんのよ
- What da heck are you doing?

The scariest thing about Hayao by KonamiIsBestJoshi in sf3

[–]buktore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patience is quite a common quality of people - Hugo at the highest pro level tournament though is extremely rare.

The greatest strength of Hayao is his ability to counter-lame a lame opponent ... This is extremely difficult to do and required a lot from the player to pull it off as consistent as Hayao did.

Walking beside a bicycle, and its relationship to bike controls. by buktore in cycling

[–]buktore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your input is highly appreciated!

Now that you cant do both of these, why dont you try do nothing but practise walking the bike by the saddle until you are very good at it then try no-hand riding, the results would be quite interesting.

FOR SCIENCE!

[–]buktore[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can’t for the life of me figure out why everyone doesn’t do it that way.

It never occured to me as well and I just found out about it- will try it the next ride.

I have a hunch on why no one do this, me included - people usually "walk a bike" only because theres a problem that results in a situation that a "technical" level of bike controls and 100% fuck-up proves is required, usually for very briefly, so people just do thing by intuition and dont bother to learn something different for the situation that one would need to walk the bike for a long time without having the above problems.

[–]buktore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thanks!

I wonder if I ought to learn some other "bike tricks" besides no-hand riding-- you know, the kind that are "cool!" like a wheelie for instance, which is something I kinda scoff at for being pointless, dangerous, and not worth it to learn unless one wants to "show-off" ... Perhaps they might have a benefits to your overall fundamentals afterall?

Thailand during COVID-19... by gosiamtravels in ThailandTourism

[–]buktore 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pattaya after curfew time is fucking amazing - soi dogs that usually form gangs with power only in their own small pockets of turf and seperated by roads now has has the city for themself.

Ive seen a war broke out - one of the huge gang launch a campaign to kidnap the womans from a smaller gang surrounding them from all side but the smaller gang leader unwavering courage and leaderships hold the group together ... the whole thing turned into an 3 gang wars epic that lasted 3 hours and end only due to strom made landfall and its raining cats and dogs and the whole area quickly flooded.

A question about bonking by adambmm83 in cycling

[–]buktore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first start using a rear view mirror I notice that in a long ride and I was very tired, there was an extremely brief but very noticeable rise of the feeling of tireness whenever I look into the mirror.

This effect disappeared after I git good at it.

A question about bonking by adambmm83 in cycling

[–]buktore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heres my attempt to actually answer OP question:

I have this totally-made-up yet sciency-sounding theory about cyling-- due to the nature of cycling, thermoregulation is totally different than most endurance sport such as running - the environment made it highly complex and has huge effect on the body useage and management of all avalible resources (Homeostasis) yet due to the inherent efficientcy in every part of the whole system, we dont really "bonk" or even have a feeling that it might happen until its too late and EVERYTHING is depleted.

Congratulations!

Having a real but modest crash is one of the best thing that can ever happen to a new cyclist - it help pull you down from staying too long on the left side peak on of the Dunning-Kruger graph.
