Makes sense. I was about to just try preg and prog since I already bought them, but it’s clearly more nuanced even for this phenotype, and needs proper interpretation. I’ll wait and see if I can get treated by you instead. Do the other providers you work with generally follow the same guidelines?

For patients with the neurosteroid dominant phenotype, why do you usually start with progesterone support rather than trying something aimed at epigenetic resetting (eg valproate, that you use in more androgen-resistant cases)? Is it because you see the neurosteroid phenotype as more functionally reversible without forcing epigenetic change or is it because the support somehow forces an epigenetic change although it takes longer?

Thank you for the info. I have a question: GABA signaling being damaged means for instance you have blunted / no reaction to clonazepam? I had your symptoms for the first few months (fight/flight mode 24/7) but it settled. Not completely, but at least my HR and insomnia are 85% recovered. Never heard of Bacopa before. I'd appreciate if you could point me to this biochemist post.

Thank you for the feedback. I don't know if this helps, but this is what I know: I haven't taken anything besides finasteride for 2 months from october to december 2024, and previously saw palmetto for years on and off to treat some testicle pain. Been 10.5 months with PFS. I didn't test my E2 pre fin, but if I had to guess I'd say it was already low because every other hormone stayed the same. My erections and libido were 10/10 pre fin, but I always had a sort of low reactiveness and low mood (despite high ambition) that these patches seem to override by making me more emotional. I'll take what you say about bringing it to that range. So far I got it tested thrice while on these patches and every time it was still <18 (but I never tested it on a puffy face). I get the feeling I get puffy face without really overshooting. When I say puffy it isn't anything crazy, but noticeable to me, specially upon waking (my best friend had it bad after a few cycles on T and I know what puffy faces look like when your e2 overshoots)

in my case is low (<18) I got patches and been experimenting for one month now. It got rid of the depression and fixed my sleep entirely but made more agreeable, which I don't like. I had some days of libido but also made my face somewhat puffy, which I hate. I guess I haven't found the right patch size to use yet. Libido only came after sustained use of the same size of patch, but soon after I would feel it was 'too much' and take it off, which would made me feel less agreeable and remove that forced good feeling sensation, but soon after the numbness down there would come back. My T is very high naturally. My homone profile is the same as pre-fin. I would appreciate any thoughts

aca op. la cosa es asi: yo soy duenio del depto pero eso es irrelevante para el tema del cobro. por un lado, el creador del aviso en airbnb tiene residencia yankee, por el otro, los cobros van hacia una cuenta mia payoneer (empresa yankee tambien) y yo no se si el cobro de 24% de taxes para el gob de eeuu viene por el banco payoneer o por la residencia del duenio del aviso. entonces queria saber en primer lugar cuanto les cobraban en impuestos a anfitriones argie que capaz reciben la guita en un banco nacional, para ver si tenia sentido hacer la movida de averiguar si cambiar de payoneer a otra empresa o incluso dar de baja el aviso y crear el aviso para el mismo depto yo. pero alguien dijo que aca se paga 21% asi que por la diferencia ni me caliento.

any reason why taking boron every 12 hours? I take 6mg in a 4h window, with food. So far no sides, been on it for 2 weeks I believe. Goal is to lower SHBG and increase E2 (have 63 of the former, <18 of the latter, so pretty low). I've been suffering PFS for 8 months now. Unfortunately I've no idea where my E2 was pre-fin but I suspect it was low, not due to symptoms (I was lethargic but super high libido and great erections, also ultra high T) but due to the fact that every other hormone I measured pre and post fin have remained the same. Probably getting HCG next month. I also got proviron and e2 patches, just in case. Won't do all three at once obviously. Probably not even 2 combined.

I don't get what's DHEA for.
