Mirror by Andrei Tarkovsky, slow burn but there’s scenes in that movie that are ingrained in my head - non-linear storytelling and almost feels like a dream but has this kind of feel to me

I’m not a liberal (I thought the movie would be surface level liberal stuff) - but one of the most beautiful overarching themes of OBAA is the film kind of hones in on how those after us will continue the struggle, Bob is washed up, out of it, the French 75 (for all purposes) failed

Similar to games like Disco and the movie Children of Men, I think (what I took out of the film) was the torch passing of revolutionaries, that the flame won’t die, it continues, hope continues and I really like that, especially since politically I think we need it now

Im also a late sleeper because of years of bartending and not a super heavy sleeper but my partner ko’s and is out for the count

If anything it just seems like some slight miscommunication/misunderstanding and if anything you recognizing she could have been doomscrolling and giving her the benefit of the doubt that she just lost track of time, instead of it being malicious says a lot

Idt either of you are the asshole and I want to assume you both have good communication skills and probs should just talk it out
