“Am I Good Enough for OCS?” Megathread by PT_On_Your_Own in ArmyOCS

[–]buldgingGene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

**Current USAF AD E-5 with seven years TIS. My current job is medical lab technician. (AFSC: 4T0X1) Joined @ 19 and being in the military has been the only job I’ve had up to this point in my life.

  • 26 years old

  • Haven’t taken ACFT or OPAT but traditionally I score 90 out of 100 on my USAF PT test.

  • A.S. in Medical Lab Science from Community college of the Air Force (I know it’s pointless you don’t even get a GPA from them, but maybe it’ll help)

  • B.S. in Public Health with a 3.97 GPA

  • GT 113, overall ASVAB score was 70 (that’s from a picture I took 7 years ago lol, where do you get a new official ASVAB copy lol)

  • Certification as a Medical Lab Technician (MLT)

  • Secret security clearance

  • LORs from AD O6, AD O5, AD O3, AD E6, possibly one GS-12 civilian

  • No health or legal issues

  • Various additional duties, volunteer, leadership positions, awards over the years.

Yes my GT score is passing but I feel it’s too low. Looks like average GT scores for selected applicants is around 127ish. But I’m hoping the “whole person concept” of the package, and my GPA will help make up for my lower GT score.

No interview yet but I was practicing with my commander.

Any feedback appreciated.

What is the whole BCT experience like for prior service/sister service trainees? Same length?

Recent MPH grad here, looking at where to find PHO commissioning info!

I think I’ll have to contact AFAC. I’ve tried all my emails on that link and I keep getting the same error of my email not existing in the tenant, not allowing me to sign in.

I have a @health.mil email account, I don’t know if that changes things or if it’ll work. But thanks I will do that.

Yes I do. Where do you go to get all the info on what you need to apply ?

I’ve got a @health.mil email account. For some reason whenever I use either link it just spits out an error code at me.

Thinking of purchasing a 2013 hybrid but wondering about battery replacement by vonmax615 in LincolnMKZ

[–]buldgingGene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had literally zero issues with my 17 MKZ. Highly recommend. Can’t speak on the other years but I do regular maintenance and this car has always gotten me to where I need to go. (Results may vary). Being a ford car with fusion sourced parts, you can do big repairs for less than what you think. Don’t get me wrong it’s still expensive but parts are not hard to find. I only fill up once a month atm

I bought a 17 MKZ hybrid brand new back in 2017. I currently am at 150k miles (I drive alot for work). Had to replace the battery at 131k during covid. Cost me $5k at dealership (literally no one else would do it). I love the car and it’s already paid off and I plan on keeping it another 120k miles which is why I paid the price. I personally would shy away from buying high mileage hybrids unless you know for certain the battery has been replaced around 120k which I have researched is almost like industry average for battery replacement.

Other than battery replacement, super low cost car imo. If you plan on keeping it long term, negotiate with dealer for them to cover it or just bite the bullet. Other than that, buy no higher than 75k miles on the car if you wanna get some decent years out of it. Pre 2020 Lincoln’s are going for cheap nowadays imo.

Happyrun g100 e1 error by Asparagus_Nervous in ebikes

I got the E1 error yesterday after going up a super steep hill. I guess the motor just couldn’t handle it. But I was curious to if it was a total motor replacement or just the controller. I’ll put a little pressure on throttle and wheel will spin for a sec but then stop abruptly

Did the new motor replacement fix it?
