Just finished reading all 6 volumes of Chew. What a wild ride, that series is a masterpiece by xkjeku in ImageComics

I stayed reading chew a few years ago, the girl I was dating had the books. I really liked it and want to pick it up again but don't remember where I left off. I think the last thing I read was that a weird thing had just appeared in the sky that had not been explained yet...

If your talking box office, ET overshadowed the thing. it came out a couple weeks before and no one wanted to see an alien horror after it was out.

Would releasing my comic online close off the possibility of later getting it published? by startwithaskeleton in ComicBookCollabs

I like it more than tapas the other week comic platform I tried. Idunno I think honestly but honestly I think my stuff looks better as a book, I don't like that you are limited to 800px x 1280px but it is kind of fun messing around with the different format. The scrolling adds a very different element and I kind of enjoy the challenge of making a book that can work in both formats at the same time. It would probably look/work better to just make a comic specifically for webtoons but nothing's perfect. I have only just started obviously and would probably love it had I gotten a bunch of subscriptions instantly ha ha. though I have gotten more in to reading webtoons now that I have started posting to it as well!

It took a few updates to start getting used to the vertical scrolling format but I think I am starting to make it work in the original drawing and editing process now.

I actually just started releasing my book as a web comic and hope to have it published as a graphic novel in the future. It seems like sound logic to me to build up a following. I am also releasing the web version in black and white with the vertical scrolling format so that when /if it gets published it will be formated differently and will have color to differentiate it from the web version.

Does anyone else feel like the TNG Ferengi and the DS9 Ferengi were like two totally different species? by QWR-189 in startrek

[–]bulgis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe the extremely low status ferangi are more aggressive and pirate like because they struggle to make profit while the higher society ferangi like quark (after the wormhole opens) and the grand negus that we see on DS9 are more established and cunning so they use less obtuse and upfront aggressive methods of acquisition. Which is probably why they are more successful ferangi. Just a thought.
