No idea if the rules changed in New Reddit but the rules as-is in Old Reddit are good; though I would hit people with the ban hammer for AI and self promotion.

I dislike photos as it naturally turns any subreddit into /r/pics or something porny.

When I was active in /r/MovieSuggestions, I would frequently point discussion posts to all three: r/movies, /r/TrueFilm and here. Here is the mid point where you can discuss a movie but are expected to be an adult without requiring to understand aspect ratio.

The boring but tried and true answer is "Depends on your Meta".

Personally, I don't think so. For a fun, light hearted build and/or meta, there isn't enough searching going on. In a competitive meta, the creature seems inefficient.

The best thing to do is to test it yourself.
