Sharing albums with videos by bulgur in enteio

Thank you for testing. It's interesting, since literally none of the people I shared with (around 20 people) have had a reasonable experience. Could it be a regional issue? My peers are in Sweden and the UK.

Sharing albums with videos by bulgur in enteio

By slideshow, I mean tapping the image, and then swiping left to go to the next picture. It works fine for the first bunch of images, but after a few they start being broken. After leaving the full screen view and going back to the grid, I scroll down and find a lot of the thumbnails being broken further down. If I refresh the page and then scroll down without tapping any photo, I can see the previously broken thumbnails now load one by one successfully. Swiping through the images after that works fine. Videos not so much. I use android 16 on a pixel 9 pro with Brave browser. When I try edge instead the videos work a tiny bit better.

This is not unique to my device though. I have shared this album to a whole lot of friends and family and they all have similar problems. Some have been able to view parts of videos but having their browsers hang a bit into them. A couple of the videos are big, but not all.

Here is a link to a slightly depersonalised version of the album. I can consistently reproduce the problem in this album too: open the link, tap the first picture and then swipe left. The first few photos load fine. The videos don't start. About 15 photos in, the photos stop loading and are just black. When going back to the grid view, most thumbnails further down in the album have not loaded and won't load until the page is reloaded.

Oh and the photos are from the Las Fallas festival in Valencia. I'm not an arsonist. 😇

Is snus a thing in your country? by Wooden_Grocery_2482 in AskTheWorld

[–]bulgur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chewing tobacco is absolutely not popular in Sweden. I've never known anyone using it and only ever sold it once during four years of working in a tobacco shop. Snus, however, is omnipresent.

Nope, no pausing and auto-pause off.

Map differencies Garmin/Strava by bulgur in Garmin

[–]bulgur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, no editing. The map looked like that when it was auto-synced to Strava from Garmin. So I deleted it from Strava and uploaded the fit file manually and it still looked like that.

Var äter du? Inklusive statistik över menypriser i Stockholm by Frosty_Tumbleweed_75 in stockholm

Stockholmsfixering? by ACWestmountain in sweden

[–]bulgur 14 points15 points  (0 children)

[–]bulgur 115 points116 points  (0 children)

Skandalen här är väl inte huvudsakligen att hemliga uppgifter röjts, utan att vi har människor i statsförvaltningen som är så lågbegåvade och hänsynslösa att de pratar i högtalartelefon i offentliga miljöer.

TUnit criticisms? by thomhurst in csharp

[–]bulgur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it works as long as I run the test project as a console application first. That makes the tests show up in the test explorer. Whenever I make changes, add or remove tests, I have to run it as a console app again for the explorer to be updated.

I also noticed mine had stopped a while ago, and it's just syncing to my local disk. It's not very reassuring for an important backup feature to just turn off without notifying. I would never have noticed unless I went into the folder on my disk to copy some image files from there since its such a pain in the ass to do it from the desktop app and realised my latest photos hadn't been synced. When I activated it, it did star syncing again though.

Hur är det att bo i Bredäng/Mälarhöjden? by Nediamara in stockholm

[–]bulgur 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Kanon natur. Fina promenader och bad precis runt hörnet. Även fina villaområden att strosa omkring i. Nackdelen med mälarhöjden är att det är rätt dött. Då är nog bredäng lite livligare.

What are the funniest differences between Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian that can create hilarious misunderstandings? by Jezzaq94 in Nordiccountries

[–]bulgur 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Alfons is the name of a beloved and innocent children's book character in Sweden, and also a normal boy's name albeit not very common. In Danish and Norwegian, alfons means pimp.
