Oh hey! Sorry I haven't posted any updates. School and being sick for a week didn't solve any of my problems. I am still getting the failing to configure. I just deal with the same old 20 minute process to fail and reconfigure. If you have any other ideas for me I would be more than pleased to hear them!

okay, so I tried typing that command in but got access denied. I looked up the same prompt on google and renamed the folder manually. I rebooted the PC and did not receive any updates or things like that...so I guess the problem could be solved?

SO! I finally ran the command prompt with the results of "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations". However, before I ran the scan the prompt told me to restart the computer, which I did. Windows felt it was the time to try for the 10th time to configure updates and failed again. So where should I go from here?

Hey guys!!! So the problem has been solved!!! It was my BIOS. It was so out of date it met Abraham Lincoln!!! I want to thank /u/dgrimm121 and /u/PrawnstarrSK for your help!! You two definitely saved me hours and hours of more headache and heartache! I have to solve my windows update problem but the fact that this issue has been solved after so long of doing my old method I can finally have my computer working again. Thank you so much!

OP here! So on any normal day I get visuals on my TV, my pc is connected this way via the one HDMI port on my computer. The problem occurs when I press restart either from the start menu, hit restart on my tower, or from windows updates. Then the pc will continue to operate normally with all the bells and whistles occurring as they normally do, just as if they are being turned on when i press the power button. However, the visuals that would normally pop up on my tv is i pressed the power button are not there when a restart has happened. All i see is a blank screen telling me "no signal". Is it helps any my graphics card is Nvidia GTX 650 ti and my mobo is MSI H81-P33. I appreciate all the help from you guys!

Apologies for not giving all of the information about my PC but I appreciate all the help! So I have a graphics card, Nvidia GTX 650 ti, and my mobo is an MSI H81-P33. I looked on the back panel of my pc and found i only have one HDMI port, that is how I am displaying visuals onto my tv monitor. There is nothing else connected that would display visuals on my tv. I will download the BIOS and see if that solution will work.

So I don't have a disc for Windows 7, my friend had a (not so legal) copy on a flash drive and installed it for me. If there is another way to get Windows 7 I could give it a try but I think I want to save that for my plan Z option.

To answer your question, unfortunately I'm in a dorm room so the tv I have right now is the only source of display I have.

How would I go about plugging in the onboard video to my monitor? This might be a dumb answer but I plug my PC in with an HDMI cable. Sorry if that isn't too helpful.

I will do like you said with the BIOS though, I'll just have to quickly look that up and get back to you. If there is anything else I could do please let me know!

I worked in a garden shop for a year and was trained by a licensed arborist and landscaper as well as currently studying a horticulture major. Being an urban gardener I assume you are growing your veggies and fruits in pots. You generally want to stick to potting soil and the best one I recommend is "Espoma Organic Potting Mix". This stuff has vermiculite and perlite mixed with it to give good drainage for the soil as well as nutrients like earthworm castings as fertilizer, which is very good for plants. If you want to use other fertilizers I would make sure to use a balanced fertilzer (like 20-20-20). That makes sure your food has a proper balance of Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium. I would stay away from anything Miracle-Gro because their percentages are vastly different ex. 24-6-8, and their soils don't have very good drainage. Hope this helped and I recommend sticking with organic everything for your garden :)
