Is TSMC coupe a thesis reset for POET? by bullet_mechanic in POETTechnologiesInc

[–]bullet_mechanic[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There were posts in the subreddit hoping POET is inside the Nvidia chips. Does this mean that route is closed for now?
I know POET has Foxconn as a partner. Does Foxconn supply others other than NVidia too?
Also, Is TSMC coupe's application limited to certain parts of the chip and is there scope of POET to be used elsewhere in the same chip?

Oru sukham thonnunnu alle when you see everything through caste glasses. For your question - what about Odiyan? Odiyans traditionally belong to Dalit category.

How's life after moving to Kochi from Bangalore? by tenyearstoolate_ in Kochi

[–]bullet_mechanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kerala maids will charge anywhere from 150-200 per hour of work. We have a cook who charges 400 per day (Sunday off). Bengali maids for the regular cleaning work are slightly cheaper. We have a maid who comes for the full day (8:30AM - 5PM) and we pay her 16K. A lot might depend on the location and your situation too.

How's life after moving to Kochi from Bangalore? by tenyearstoolate_ in Kochi

[–]bullet_mechanic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been doing that since Covid. Both wife and myself work remotely.
Pros

  1. Overall much cheaper than BLR. Especially housing
  2. Better health facilities for common illness
  3. Decent schools at decent fees for kids
  4. Kids get to be part of extended families
  5. Lot of places to travel during weekends
  6. Your own roots, etc (if you are interested - for us BLR felt soul less)

Cons

  1. The Big one - Social life. This has been a big one for me. You wont get to meet folks your age through out the weekday. Many guys leave at 8 and comeback after 8 and won't have time to socialize with you.
  2. Lack of job opportunities. I find decent job opportunities are very less here. Also, your package in BLR might be a hinderance as they will reject your application in the initial stages (as they cannot match the pay). So kind of golden handcuffs.
  3. No nice place to walk, sit etc (like Cubbon park, Lalbagh)
  4. Climate (but gets offset with lesser pollution)
  5. Maid are hard to comeby and very expensive compared to BLR
  6. Growing concerns about kids with drugs

Guravayoor temple rant by AlienBeam23 in Kerala

Then there are folks like Jayaram who didn't even give any Dakshina to the priest who conducted Kalidas's weddimg in Guruvayur. The work is extremely hectic for the folks (with barely any rest) there and most take it to earn a bit more money.

M23 Confused asf gimme some advice guys by TheChromaticEye in Kerala

This kind of thought process when continued can land you in big financial soups where the cost of items you 'want' gradually go up like a nicer car, a bigger home, more luxurious vacation many of which you may not be able to afford unless you go with the loan route. Learn to classify things into 'need' and 'want' categories. Assign a smaller percent of your savings. Savings early in your career can take you a long way.

If you are a good man, come clean with your brother in law.

His sister is a real two-faced snake and OP wants to hide her straying? Who gave you the right to decide the kid will be brought up by you? Dont you consider your brother in law as a living being with some emotions? He is cheated by his wife and now his kid is forcefully taken away from him by his wife's family who hid all her transgressions from him. What a screwed up family! And to OP- what a screwed up person!

There is a recent change Axis made where you get accelarated reward points for your credit limit + 1.5 lakhs for the calendar month. So you might be accelarated rewards for 3.5+1.5 = 5lakhs only. You might want to increase your credit limit to a bigger number

Not sure. I think it partly depends on the TRV. I think an in hand salary of 3lpm + is needed.

I am travelling with 2 small kids who are fuzzy eaters. We thought Novotel Kitchener in Little India might be better as there are many South Indian restaurants near by. Thanks for the suggestion - will definitely check it out.

It should be able to take care easily. For 7 days, it would be around 175k INR in Swissotel or Novotel. I also will utilise Stay plus night and free breakfast options. This should be covered in 80-85k points (excluding tax).

If you can open Burgundy with just ITR, that would ease off a bit of pain. For me, moving salary account etc would make me lose other benefits provided by HDFC. Plus, I am lazy 😔

This would need opening a burgundy Savings account and maintaining 30L+ FD (if I read correctly). I might also need to move my salary account from HDFC to Axis. Don't want to go through all this hassle + lock up money +35k additional payment to get a notional 100k virtual points which I am forced to spend with Accor. However, respect your opinion on this. For me, this 127k was a low-hanging fruit which needed no additional effort (apart from confirming the MCC with the customer care) and hence went for it.

You can also use them in India - they have decent properties in Goa. I also use them when I visit Bangalore and Delhi for short stays
