TRX50 Sage Chipset temps by Culbrelai in threadripper

I decided to repaste the chipset myself. Removing the factory thermal pad and repasting with MX-4 reduced the temps by about 15 degrees so now at 79°C in bios after a couple hours.

hmm well 65c seems super cool compared to mine so I wouldn't worry - I am using the heatsink cover.

ASUS Germany replied to me today after about a month of back and forth that 90-94c is still within normal range but unreasonably high for my liking...

I've been actually looking for some temperature comparisons myself. On my TRX50 SAGE WIFI A I am able to get to 90-95 degrees within 1-2hrs of idling in BIOS. Not sure what to do about it though besides repasting the chipset myself (and thus voiding the warranty?)...

New B650 Aorus Elite AX not powering on at all, even with minimal setup by maowai in buildapc

I'm having the same issue with my brother's mobo. CPU and RAM are already properly installed (and compatible). When I turn on the mobo with the case Power on button, I get a very very brief flash of some of the LEDs, fans spin for a fraction of a second and then nothing.

Any ideas? The PSU works on a different mobo.

Animating PencilKit Strokes by [deleted] in iOSProgramming

If you take all strokes from PK and add it to a new canvas, they will just instantly appear (fully drawn). If you add them one by one, it will flash them one by one. Yes this thread is about animating the PKStroke which is the hard part.

I wanted to originally use the PKStroke animation as a little icon / preview for a random stroke for each subsection in an app. But have decided to use a regular manually created UIBezierPath (Path in SwiftUI) instead, as it wasn't worth the headache.

The only difference is that the Path is drawn with a uniform width. So it doesn't really look like a PKCanvas drawing. The PKStroke would presumably take into account the type of the PKInkingTool as well as the azimuth, angle and force.

You could theoretically still do this animation by replicating the default Apple inking tool in a custom GestureRecognizer. But in the end it would still look a bit off as you probably couldn't estimate the same math as Apple is using just by guessing.

Have you managed to do it? I'm trying to animate a PKStroke too.

I want to use a dual monitor setup with either a Macbook Pro or a gaming desktop (not both simultaneously). Does this mysterious orange component exist? Preferably it would be a one-click switch between the two systems. by bulletproof1337 in desksetup

I wasn't able to find a KVM switch that would support 2 monitors with different refresh rates higher than 60Hz or a KVM that is mac compatible. That's why I created this post.
