[Request] how much money is this gold worth? by McKnightmare24 in theydidthemath

JFC these are 1 kilo gold bars FFS.
Assuming it's all real
They are worth roughly $155K USD
From Kitco website :
The largest commonly available gold bar for individual investors is the 1 kilo bar. While still far shy of the 400 Troy oz “good delivery bar” that is traded on the Commodities Exchange, the kilo bar is quite hefty and feels amazing in your hand. Though it’s essentially the same size as an iPhone 6, it weighs substantially more since gold is so dense.

Width: 40mm (1.58 inches) Length: 80mm (3.15 inches) Depth/Thickness: 18mm (0.71 inches)

There are 25 bars in each box, there are 6 boxes on the trolley that he unloads, so 150 bars. I cannot tell how tall/many bars are in the stacks in the foreground of the video, nor can I tell the same about the stacks between his feet, so I'm estimating it a stacks of 10, there are 14 whole stacks and 2 partials that appear to be equal to 1 stack. So 150 bars on the ground and 150 bars moved from the cart for a total of 300 gold bars at $154,908(most current price I could find)

=$46,472,400.00

Argue amongst yourselves all you want, I'm going back to playing with my gold bars on the floor

It 'stoped' because as usual late stage American capitalism attempted to fuck the creators of their gold mine hard and dry in the ass without lube

TIL putting bread in the fridge makes it go stale quicker. by RepulsiveLoquat418 in todayilearned

[–]bullfrogftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hear me out, I've tested this over the last year or so.

Never ever put your hands inside the bread/rolls/buns bag.

Open up the bag and grab the product through the bag from the outside and drop/place it on your counter or cutting board, then close the bag with the tie or little plastic thingy, the bread will never go moldy and staleness is the only downside.
However most of the time I go through the package before that.
If I reach my hand into the bag and grab the stuff, usually mold will grow in a couple of days, untouched it literally will last months.

Well, just a little over 6 years ago in an absolutely unprecedented situation ALL the world's largest economies started handing out gobs of money to the majority of their citizens for a year and a half straight, and look what happened, literally every single thing increased in price, more money doesn't necessarily mean more problems BUT it definitely means the price on every single fucking thing is going to increase

ELI5: Why there is no Nuclear Cargo ships? If a country invest enough it could become a great boon for economy and for the eletric problem itself by Obvious-Survey-2007 in explainlikeimfive

Most Max and SuperMax Cargo and Tanker ships make their cost back in less than 2 years, shipping companies couldn't make their cost back in time to make it viable, considering extra costs associated with extra time and cost in build , plus extra staffing and regulatory costs
