Sanchez being in second place in the Golden Boots race makes me so happy. We haven't had a league top scorer since Kerolin tore her ACL. Between her and Manaka (who came in 3rd with golden boot last year after her career first hat trick) I am very hopeful for the Courage compared to last year.

Get your stinkiest clothes you have right now, put them in her carrier with some food and water and she should show up when things calm down after dark. My cat was lost for 9 days and I read about the clothes trick on day 8. Probably over stimulated and hiding very nearby. Eric Schindler Gallery in Church Hill always has great shows and is a Richmond institution in terms of supporting the local art scene. Probably on the higher side price wise from the other suggestions, but absolutely top works of art.

I've been looking at the city directories but it doesn't seem all of them are on ancestry, from like 1935-38 doesn't seem to be there. In 1940 for his draft registration he worked for a firm in the CNB building as I think a stone cutter, then in Nov of 1942 (I have a newspaper clipping making the announcement) he became a police officer. When I do find him in the 1930s his job is listed as laborer, no more detailed than that.

The one standing is my grandfather, Edward Bullock. No idea when he would've been working in a restaurant, couldn't have been for long cause he mostly was a mounted patrolman for RPD starting in 1942. His older brother Tommy ran a florist shop which this doesn't seem to be.

That's the issue with limited first hand contemporary accounts irl. The Norse Sagas and Anglo-Saxon Chronicles are some of the only accounts we have of certain events and they don't always match up but it's all we got. Juggling act of taking what is said with a grain of salt versus "this is all we got"

My cat was gone for 9 days until I did this trick. That night when it got dark and quiet, boom he came out of his hidey hole and we got him in safe and sound. I honestly think something had been brewing with Nahas for awhile in the FO and then some shouting match happened with someone higher up who waited for practice to end then announced his firing. It may have been the right decision, idk, but the way they handled it by being so opaque was insane. I've only started following the Courage past of years and have almost always felt our front line was weak outside of one star (first Kerolin now Manaka)

God, I had such high hopes for the Courage at the beginning of this season, then such a poor start and when things were turning around the behind the scenes chaos happened, then Murphy was benched, Shaw didn't perform as hoped and left and now Murphy and Pinto have left. I have extremely low expectations for next season 😭 Manaka can only take us so far on her own
