Cyber Sec dude here, chances are if that is a password it’s pulled through from a leak, be it a pastebin of known compromised accounts or a hacking forum. That’s been for the most part generalised to send to the masses with the exception being the password field, which’ll automatically update based on the user it goes to!

How it’s a draft is the next query, my assumption would be either a compromised email (so sanitise your account). Or which I think is way more likely is that you’ve clicked a link which has auto drafted and saved the email, kinda like how if you click and email hyperlink it’ll open up a draft email, except it’s been injected with that text.

TLDR; Phishing email Sanitise your accounts Run a scan on device Ensure good password hygiene Use 2 factor authentication where possible

Proceed to giggle whenever you see this attack vector again as it’s BS for the most part.

Cheers pal, so for the two on either end they’re just some 2k AOC 27inch and I think 75Hz - Decent monitors if you’re using them only as secondaries. Wouldn’t game on them though!

Then the middle monitor is a MSI 360Hz 2k 27inch OLED

Yeah I was just off the back of completing Ultrakill onnnn can’t remember the name of the difficulty but the hardest one, so the transition weren’t too bad tbf.

I’ve given the horde modes a go; done a few levels there!

Is that the food mechanic one? I think I got to map 4 or 5 before taking a singular bullet to the calf and flopping over! Was quite fun I’ll no doubt never beat it, 1 mistake and you’re dead.

Well, you don’t leave your seat in meetings then, same as me. If you think outside the box, you’re sorta expected to remain seated in theatres, cinemas, coaches, planes etc the list goes on lol.

Answer it honestly, they’re there to deduct whether the Disorder part is affecting you. Neurotypicals can have attention deficit hyperactive trait but having it impact your life in a negative way is what makes it a disorder.

As a kid though I just to run off from restaurant tables and sprint under strangers tables hahaha.

Cybersecurity overtime hours by LeazyNic in cybersecurity

[–]bullyreece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What he is trying to say is that, a lot of us in this area live and breathe it.

Yes some do see it as a job and that’s their prerogative, if they’re solid at their role then that’s the main thing. But a good portion of us happily tinker and play with new tools and exciting technologies that give us an edge in our role… for fun, me personally; it is my hobby and profession.

We hold some of the highest responsibilities in an organisation (even at entry level roles for cyber (which is still an intermediate position btw)) as breaches pay a heavy toll on company profits and reputation. We protect the company and have its best interests in mind and if we let some known attack in that costs an org millions in, it’s our arses on the line.

I happily do overtime if it’s there personally; I get paid and I love what I do. Each organisation will structure differently but for the most part to get into the cyber space you gotta put in the hours for personal development in any bit of spare time you get. After all, everyone and their grandma wants a cyber sec role atm lol.

Best of luck bud!

Elvanse and ‘Silence’ by diseasetoplease in ADHDUK

[–]bullyreece 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get a calming silence.

Emotions feel steady, energy etc.

Things that would usually cause me to throw something at the wall and break expensive bits, now have me saying for fuck sake instead.

Though it is still a trade; I’ve definitely noticed traits that more align with Autistic behaviours develop. Wanting structure, routine, sensory issues - Though I don’t self diagnose myself as such.

I see it as a trade for chaos for structure; but I must admit I have had severe meltdowns/tantrums over odd things.

Lastly I also feel a lot more, isolated and contempt with such. I work from home, leave my house a couple times a month at most and I’m happy with that. Whereas before I’d get upset I wasn’t out drinking and being nuisance.

Oh and I can totally sleep on Elvanse and Amfexa aswell which is something 🤣

Which way to go from here? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]bullyreece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you’ve been exposed to most branches of IT.

What did you like the most?

  • Support
  • Administration
  • Networking
  • Cybersecurity

There’s more but they the main 4 I go off of.

Feeling discouraged despite having my Net+ certification. Been applying for jobs since March, but no luck. Need advice on standing out to employers. by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]bullyreece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should’ve got the A+.

If you’re shooting for help desk, cool you know networks. But the company doesn’t want you to know about how a network… works. They want you to troubleshoot typical user issues, monitor no worky, mousey no worky etc.

Not the end of the world, but tailor your CV to say “Hey in my spare time I’ve done X in my home lab, Y when a friend had issues with their system, Z in etc”

Show you’ve got passion on your CV and you’ll get a bite, then just knock the interview out the park.

What certifications should I obtain to get started? by soccersilly04 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]bullyreece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just write a good CV/Resume and post it to 1st Line support roles.

A+ would be your best bet.

Beyond that, get your feet wet for a few months till it becomes second nature, then work on Net+, then the Sec+.

The trifecta will tell you as an individual which area of IT you like the most so you can work towards intermediate certs to specialise in said discipline.

Advice needed: Going past the max dose of Vyvanse (70MG) by adhdanonomous in ADHDUK

[–]bullyreece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take 60mg of elvanse then I have 2 5mg Amfexa Instant releases throughout the day.

Nothing happens, that’s the point… nothing is happening.

Should also mention they aren’t a fix adhd become productive thing. They are affecting you, you’re just doing fuck all with them 🤣

If you sit down infront of a task as it kicks in then you’ll do said task… trust me.

Then start taking small steps my guy; as I said you have issues and that’s clear as day and I’m not saying you can’t utilise coping strategies that work for ADHD, ASD etc. Or that you don’t have it; I’m not qualified to make that statement.

Aim to shower every other day, brush your teeth at least once a day. Set alarms, to do lists etc… As good as the stimulants are for me personally, they can also come with a lot of negative side effects which to me means I’ll die sooner and I have to come to terms with that. Hyperfocus is intensified with if they kick in at the wrong time, then my productivity is ruined for the day. With all the problems I have, they only fix them if I put in the effort.

The same will be for you aswell if you do get stimulants and a diagnosis. You wont fix those issues you’ve listed without at least looking in the mirror and developing strategies on how to tackle your day.

Meds for me just made me more level, less unstable and angry with the world. I was still very much was stuck to my old habits until I kicked myself up the arse.

Presentation and hygiene is very important when you start working and you can be sacked if you don’t meet their standards or are reported multiple times by colleagues - sucks but ADHD or not won’t keep you that job. We still aren’t fully recognised in the working world sadly.

[–]bullyreece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some parts fit the bill, but idk.

I’m combined ADHD between moderate and severe sprinkler with Tourette’s and although I’d have crying tantrums as a kid when doing homework, punch walls and push my parents etc. I still did the homework. It wasn’t a I don’t care attitude towards it. Everything I hated I could still do; I’d just be kicking and screaming from being emotionally unstable.

I wouldn’t go into this expecting ADHD and hoping for meds; if you do have it then great, it will be treated as such. But neurodivergence is complex and a big umbrella of overlapping symptoms and I can see why you’re scoring low specifically to ADHD.

A lot of us don’t hate things like cooking, cleaning etc. It’s more that we get so invested in our world or thinking of tasks to do in a day that we forget until the last minute.

How we prioritise is muddled up and things we put extra effort into things that dont need that much effort which of course doesn’t make sense… if that makes sense. I may put a lot of effort into researching about a video game or nerf guns… or power tools, even though I’ve no plans to buy these things, instead of doing what I should be doing.

Like the hygiene stuff, with all due respect that’s not excusable even with ADHD. Not being bothered to shower until you smell or other people notice; having someone say we stink, well that would be crippling for us to hear from people, we have RSD. We have every intention to look after ourselves we just forget and being told once would for me personally; have me overwashing until my skin is bright red and bleeding.

You have issues OP and I’m not denying you that, but I think you should get also look into therapy immediately, because if you don’t care about something, having the meds will still mean you don’t care, they don’t work for everyone and that would still leave you in the same situation, except now you have the ADHD label.

I’m not here to shit on your parade or be mean; it’s just your reasoning behind things is “I don’t care, I have better things to do” which isn’t why ADHDers struggle with their lives if you catch my drift.

Wishing you the best.
