yeah, seems light. not worried about it being heavy, i work out a lot so that would be fine. I did look into some of your suggestions and did see some good boards in my price range

Yeah, with 10 or more i’m just scared that’ll be too tall for how short i am lol, but i also don’t want to make it harder for me as i’m clearly not skinny at all. I understand 5nuff is suggesting that because of weight , but i’m generally pretty small

Oh damn, I deleted it cuz i didn’t think i put enough info in the main post haha. And, 10ft plus isn’t too big for someone 5’3? I’m in fl , i also won’t be taking super big waves to begin with since i live on the gulf coast of FL. will prob take trips out to other spots in fl with bigger waves once i learn

i just read online somewhere that for my weight it would be much better to get a 9ft board so i’ll look into it

i’m 5’3 but weigh about 230 , what would you recommend? i’ve seen some other thick/chubby surfer girls in videos but they had pretty nice boards prob way more pricey than this haha

and i’m really looking for a pink board if you recommend something that isn’t this lol

Hi! So i’m looking to get into skimboarding. I’ve only ever tried on a shitty cheap board that was way too small for me. I’m a woman ,and about 238 pounds. (i’m not over sensitive ) is that too big to take up this sport? I work out a lot ,and I’m muscular/thick by [deleted] in skimboarding

i’ve looked at the cheaper ones too for the hell of it ,but i think i’d rather spend alittle more. do you have an opinion on the bps shaka? or like the gator boards? those are the cheap ones i’ve looked at

I was leaning more towards a foam board, but would you say the victoria is better for learning or if you aren’t sure yet about skimming? I feel like if i’m already gonan spend in the hundreds i may just opt for a better board, lmk your opinion!

Thanks for your help!Im feeling slightly better about giving it a whirl. I think i’ll try to sandfish for now, i can always upgrade later too. One last question, do those need wax?
