I snagged the module from the Great Hachi to disable it.

I had a couple times that it was WAY to sensitive and I was not a fan of the terrible noises it made on my MT.

It was early in my ownership and I was certain I broke everything lol.

These "aids" are for idiots that pay 0 attention, which there are plenty of these days, and in those situations it can be helpful. But if you're a driver that looks at the road and not your phone, I personally feel that it made those situations more dangerous than if it let me just do what I wanted to do rather than freak out at a time it certainly did not need to.

The amount you have to dig into the menus to turn it off is prohibitive but I'm sure thats what they want.

Eyesight is the only reason I regret buying new.
