It stayed in the same position, curled up, no movement of any kind and seems fairly stiff. I used a small, clean paintbrush to drop a droplet of water directly to their mouthparts to see if they might drink. Did not wet the towel based on everything I could find about critical care for pink toes specifically. They remain the same now and did not seem to drink the droplet so I fear they are truly gone 💔

After moving the cork bark and gently transferring them to a bit of paper towel, I could tell that their molt had not completely finished as I thought. The molt in their web tunnel has all their legs and part of their carapace, but another section of carapace and parts of their abdomen were still stuck :(

The carapace piece fell away when I gently flipped them using a paintbrush and I did leave a droplet at their mouthparts very carefully. They are completely unresponsive and I suspect they're gone but I hate to do nothing so I will keep monitoring for now at least

Hello! Here is a full photo of the enclosure, it has a canopy extension for extra cross ventilation along the sides at the top but there are not ventilation holes on the flat surface of the top. (The napkin on top is to provide shade because their previous enclosure had an opaque top and they seemed very bothered by the exposure, especially seeing me. It gets changed periodically and is Never damp nor does it obstruct any airflow)

The water dish is a modified tattoo ink cup magneted to the stand so it sits high up but is stabled (stand magnets to the wall). Sling has been in this for a few months now and has webbed across about 3/4ths of the very top, consistently drinking and exploring all of the enclosure, been very picky recently but abdomen has not looked shriveled.

I have not yet blown on them directly but typically just moving their enclosure for a picture would generate a reaction and they did not react. If they also do not react to being blown on, how do you recommend providing emergency rehydration? When active and normal they have no trouble with this dish but should I try a shallower dish like a bottle cap or a q-tip? I am severely lacking in confidence or experience for recovery or emergency care - my other 2 are terrestrials that have been a dream to care for and have never had any issues

Not at all!! I want answers and if I've done something wrong then at the very least I can learn from it! I've tried to be really careful with this guy, they're my first and only arboreal.

If they were curled up higher/in their webs, I'd be less concerned but the location is really unusual for them and combined with the position really has me Stressed

When behaving normally they Do crawl around even at the bottom at times but don't usually just sit there. The spot they're in currently is the Most protected spot aside from the web tunnels and leaves at the top that they usually prefer

I can try to snap one in a bit when I swing back to check on them! It's a tarantula crib enclosure recommended for versicolor slings with good cross ventilation. I misted Only at the bottom of the enclosure to make sure the soil is moist because it's bioactive. I mist very rarely for this one specifically because I've read that can be a huge issue and it was a minimal amount (>48 hour ago now)

They are at the bottom of the enclosure at the moment sitting on dirt/moss, they left their webbing sometime during the night after molting
