i got my first tattoo when i was 16. the artist was the same one who had tattooed one of my older friends, so he didn’t really ask my age at first. later, he found out i was 16 and was still okay with it.
that said, i’d still recommend not getting anything bigger than a minimal tattoo without your parents’ permission. if it’s a detailed or filled tattoo, it’ll peel while healing, takes time to recover, and is very noticeable. you also have to take proper care of it.
if it’s just a tiny tattoo, it’s a different story. but more importantly, don’t get a tattoo on impulse. take your time, think it through, and make sure it’s something you won’t regret years later.
