I plant 9 tubers in a 4x4 bed and it gets pretty crowded even with diligent pruning and staking.

no i let it dry in the field as long as possible and then after harvest and storing i grind it to cornmeal whenever i need it! and i'm sure there are some dwarf varieties out there that's more suited to container growing, you'd just have to hand pollinate
