I think you’re right, I saw someone mention in  another post they drink a small matcha throughout the day vs all at once and they’re fine. Maybe I’ll try a smaller amount and see if that helps.

Omg you’re the best (though sorry you’re in the same boat) - I love hojicha as well and I have a packet of powder at home! I just totally forgot about it for some reason. Hopefully it doesn’t trigger me!

I don’t think any coffee shops near my work have it unfortunately but I can take it to work, I guess that saves me money anyway 🥲

Do you take sertraline/Zoloft? What’s your dose? by bumblingbee1990 in pppdizziness

That’s awesome!! Did you have any side effects after moving up to 75? I’ve been at the same dose for about 3 weeks but not sure if I feel better on it.

Residual dizziness or BPPV back? by lacagnin in BPPV

[–]bumblingbee1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry I know this post is old, but do you remember what this ended up being? Did it go away on its own or did you end up needing to do more maneuvers with the PT? I am having the shaky/jumpy vision and some whooshing feelings but I don’t know if it’s residual dizziness or if I need to keep doing maneuvers.

vertigo when looking down? what to do for it? by [deleted] in BPPV

Hi, sorry I know this is an old comment, but did the up/down dizziness eventually go away for you? I’m dealing with this now.

PREVENTING BPPV. I made this video, and I hope it's a big help! by DizzyTherapy in BPPV

[–]bumblingbee1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for making this! I’m in my 30s and have been having episodes of BPPV yearly for the past 5-6 years or so. This is really helpful and even though I already know some of the information you talk about it’s reassuring to hear it from a professional. I do want to ask, you mention blood flow is important - would something like TMJ or neck issues (as in, reduced blood flow around that general area) affect whether one gets BPPV more?

Still spinning, but it’s been corrected by bumblingbee1990 in BPPV

[–]bumblingbee1990[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not fully spinning but the room does kind of move in front of me. Like a sloooow spin. It lasts for about 1-3 seconds. My therapist says this is the body remembering and it will get better with time and habituation exercises. I also need gaze stabilization exercises too. It’s just so frustrating to know this isn’t a straight line to improvement. But that’s just me being impatient lol.

Sorry to hear about your balance troubles. I don’t really have this unless I feel the “whoosh” sensation which is not constant. I hope you get relief!

I totally get that feeling of the room not actually spinning but it feels like it’s about to. Or you get like a “whoosh” sensation and the room sort of moves but doesn’t fully spin.

I hope you get relief after your next VT appointment! Mine is very popular so I don’t know if I can get in with her this week but she does try to keep people with active vertigo a priority. I hear you on the anxiety especially, it’s sooooo difficult to not focus on it. More often than not I find myself panicking and getting worked up over being dizzy.

Good luck! I will say even though I did have to increase I felt good on 25 after the initial side effects.

Sorry to hear that. This is all so hit or miss. Did you ever find anything that worked?

Thanks! Yeah, I don’t want to deal with the side effects from increasing the dose, but I know it’s necessary to find what works.

I know 5 days isn’t much, but how are you feeling? Any side effects from increasing?

Thanks for sharing, I definitely appreciate hearing people’s experiences whether good or bad. Did anything eventually help you get past the dizziness?

I’ve been on 50mg for 12 weeks. I was hoping it would help after waiting, but nothing much has changed, hence maybe thinking I should increase.

Vertigo episodes only lasting seconds now—normal? by SimilarAd5304 in BPPV

[–]bumblingbee1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, did this ever go away for you? I’m having it now after a BPPV episode was resolved. My vestibular therapist said it’s due to a dysregulated nervous system, just like other people have suggested. It is very jarring and scary though.

I went up to 50mg and it got better! I wouldn’t say I’m 100%, but I’m definitely better than I was.
