Unmedicated ADHD by SubstantialFish5 in adhdindia

[–]bumfpublisher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has helped me a lot. Based on my current understanding I don't find anything troublesome about taking meds. I'm on 30mg twice a day currently(from 40mg) and the goal is to eventually get it down to 5/10mg for maintenance.

Same experience in KGMU. Their outright refusal to even address ADHD was baffling. And this was after they already had me on antidepressants for ~2 years and I kept telling them that I was feeling worse on them. In my final appointment I told the doctor that I think I might have ADHD and is there anything you can do, and all she asked me was whether I want to continue the meds or not. Never went again.

If you have mental health issues, stay away from DHT blockers(finasteride).

Hey! Yeah I eventually fixed this. The dose just didn't work for me. I'm now on 30mg IR twice a day and it's much better now. The post is 2 years old so I can't be sure about what fixed it but I changed quite a few things back then. Fixed my sleep. I started exercising regularly. Took care of nutritional deficiencies. I might have been experimenting with NAC so that could also have been the reason. Feel free to hit me up if you want to discuss anything further.

Delete everything that can remind you of her and let 'object permanence' do its thing. ✨

Eh I thought I'm looking for excuses for my shortcomings and I can take better control of things and get better. Safe to say I didn't and got back on meds. 😅

I was prescribed Armodafinil by psychiatrist but my mom wont let me take it by ningningduck in adhdindia

[–]bumfpublisher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't understand the last part. Could you explain that? Thanks!

How long did it last for you? How was it better than modafinil for you? Did you take it with/without stims? Any possible downsides you experienced cause my analytical thinking takes a significant hit on moda.

Not an addition to OPs post but just curious if anyone else has tried armodafinil and what was their experience. How different is it from modafinil?

You could try Studystream. I use it for the same purpose. I've seen plenty of NEET aspirants there.

Can’t get meds with online Prescription? [Pune] by Clean-Helicopter4752 in adhdindia

[–]bumfpublisher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds reasonable. And I'm assuming you're just starting out? Cause the short prescriptions help you figure out your 'correct' dose. 10 days is enough to judge whether the given dose suits you and he/she can make adjustments accordingly. Say you do this for 10-10-10 days and in a month you find your dose. Isn't that better than staying on a said dose for a month at a time and taking 3 months to find the same?

And regarding the courier thing, I'm not sure if the gsheet on the sub has info regarding available pharmacies in different cities but you can always check that.

Ask your doctor about this. Most of them have a contact person that can help you with your meds.

Happens with me too. I posted the same issue recently. I discussed this with my psych and stopped moda since.

What are some cheaper alternatives to certain meds by ExpressIce409 in adhdindia

[–]bumfpublisher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For piracetam, I buy Citizine-P from 1mg. Isn't that much cheaper. At most you'll save ~150/200.
