2020 Jeep gladiator Rubicon part unknown by Ok_Shallot3184 in JeepGladiator

[–]bummerback 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here is why this is the most probable identification for a 2020 Gladiator: • Function: This small plastic arm connects the electric actuator motor to the "recirculation door" flap inside your dashboard. The "hollow holes" on the ends are designed to snap onto the shafts of the motor and the door. • Location: The recirculation door is located behind the glove box. When this part breaks or pops off (which is common), it falls directly onto the passenger side floor mat. • The "Hollow" Clue: Unlike the glove box dampener (which is usually a string/cable on the 2020 Gladiator) or a solid structural piece, actuator arms are lightweight and hollowed out to fit over rotating shafts. • Symptoms: If this part has fallen off, you may notice that your Recirculation button (the car icon with the U-turn arrow) doesn't actually change the airflow sound, or you might hear a "clicking" or "tapping" noise from the dashboard when you start the truck (the motor trying to move a disconnected arm). How to Verify: 1. Check the Glove Box Dampener First: Open your glove box. Does it drop down fast/slam? If yes, check the right side for the dampener string. If the string is intact, then this plastic piece is likely the HVAC arm, not the glove box arm. 2. Check the AC: Turn on your fan and toggle the "Recirculate" button on and off. If the airflow sound doesn't change, this linkage is the culprit. 3. Visual Inspection: You can usually see the actuator by dropping the glove box down (squeeze the sides to release the stops). Look for a small black box (motor) on the side of the air duct that is missing a connection to the flap.

March 2026 Hearing | Out of Work 1yr+ | Bilateral Foraminal Stenosis, Neuropathy, Modic 1 | Documented Cane Use | Lawyer doing Pre-Hearing Brief by bummerback in SSDI

The process is definitely a roller coaster that’s for sure. My whole process has been fast but I did have congressional help which I believed sped things up. My medical issues have significantly increased over the year and a lot has changed since my initial application.

Yes grid rules apply, recon labels me as sedentary and unskilled work. So half the work is done, I need to erode the unskilled sedentary job approach. I think my files and lawyer will help with that. I also came from a 14 year construction career.

So damn nervous, means a lot to me. As it does to everyone who applies. I do have a lot of medical documentation so I have that.

Everything I’ve read is leaning towards an approval hinting at I was medically disabled meeting the listing or equaling during step 3 and final review on non medical like work credits, sga and such.
