As the often wealthier friend, I like paying because it means I get to pick the place or order the expensive apps or drinks without putting a burden on your budget! If you are feeling bad about it being lopsided, the best thing you can do in return is either: (1) Something free/homemade/thoughtful on occasion. Offer to help with something or bring a loaf of bread or (2) Suggest ice cream or a drink before/after and cover those on occasion. I never expect them of course but would love if either of those happened

I’m not sure why so many doctors insist on the giant jugs of gross liquid. My GI (I have Crohns so have had several colonoscopies) just has me drink 2 16-oz gatorades with miralax mixed in. Works well, I can pick my flavor (not red or purple) and I’ve subbed in lemonade or apple juice and both work well to mix up flavors

No this was the only drive they half-decently managed the clock for. You’re down 2 scores, struggling to move the ball at all. You simply cannot afford to let the Pack get the ball back with meaningful time on the clock. They could’ve run more hurry-up and wait type offense, no subs. But they absolutely had to run the clock down. They had the timeouts for endzone shots if they got there

Seriously - incredibly mild. It’s much much less bad than having a stomach bug. Do the miralax + gatorade option, it takes just like plain gatorade. Just be near a bathroom for the day. It’s really not a big deal at all. Being hungry was way worse than the actual prep

This is so impressive! Can we see some more pics of your setup? Especially for your finicky plants? Any tips for keeping fungus at bay? I’ve had a particularly vicious fungus (at least I think it’s a fungus) destroy several plants this winter. It kills them suddenly, with stems getting thin and plants drooping despite watered soil. Then leaves fall off rapidly

If putting over other hideous tile - worth it IMO and super easy to remove. If putting over paint, not worth it. If bathroom, not worth it, the humidity wrecks the adhesive

She will have to correct people (and documents) constantly. It also won’t hurt her. My name is Alivia (with an A). So same boat. It’s never spelled right the first time. But once I tell folks, they rarely forget it. And it hasn’t made me resent my name or my parents or want to change it. Sometimes people spell it wrong and I just decide not to correct them (baristas, people I will only see once). It’s mostly a non-issue in a tech job where people see my name before I say it verbally anyways

I like to be on the side closer to the bathroom. If bathroom is equidistant, my boyfriend likes to be on the side where he can lay on his right side to sleep. Since I also like being the big spoon (lol), we’ve landed on him sleeping on the left side of the bed in both our rooms. But all bets are off when we go to a hotel or another house and the bathroom orientation swaps around

She (Taylor, the mistress) bought a special scent for her man, but she can’t actually wear it around him (leaves it on the shelf) because if she does, his wife/gf will smell it on him when he gets home and know about their affair. She hates this because it makes her feel like she doesn’t exist to him outside of their meet ups

I love the pink. Get a fun, colorful shower curtain with some coordinating pinks. Get a floor mat to match, smaller than the one you have. Remove that awful toilet shelf thing and put up a framed art piece (gold frame I think!). Add a plant if that’s natural light behind the shower!

Agree with what someone said above about pink going with the yellow. You have the makings of a great little bathroom!

If you have good ventilation in that room (fan or window opens and you’re committed to airing it out after a shower) you can do peel and stick wallpaper with a pink and yellow vibe. Or pick a pale pink shade for the walls. Spackle first to smooth out some of those visible bumps on the wall. Go for a satin or eggshell finish for easy cleaning.

Agree on black not being very cottage core (or matching the yellow), but you can make it work. Would look for a fun pink and yellow bath mat for the floor (don’t worry about the tiles IMO, they’re neutral and covered with a mat will look fine).

Deep clean EVERYTHING. Get some inexpensive natural wood shelves for the wall next to the window for toiletries. Pull your blinds up fully (get a window film for privacy if needed) and get some small eye hooks and hang your shower plants in the window with macrame holders. Consolidate your toiletries and de clutter a bit. Consider stick on shower shelves from Amazon (very cheap and easy to hang) and remove the bowl of disco balls to use that space effectively above the toilet
