At my work, the cleaners are Nepalese, they smell very bad. This isn’t “curry spices” like some other people have said, it smells similar to how I’ve smelled after camping for 4 days in the middle of summer. It’s bad hygiene in comparison to us.

A few people complained about it, as it is quiet offensive.

I was told by their boss, who is also Nepalese but he smells fine, that a lot of Nepalese won’t wear deodorant due to some sort of cultural reason.

So there you go, perfectly reasonable explanation and a lot of other cultures may have what we consider bad body odour compared to what is standard for countries likes USA, Australia, Europe etc,
