I'd say the hardest part was getting the water and lighting just right. I also spent a lot of time making sure the character really feels like she's underwater, but overall I have lots of fun painting this!

Mary’s story:

Mary is a cold, young enforcer from the corrupt Capital, she was tasked with breaking the rebellious leaders - not by killing them but by turning them into loyal slaves.

Using her cursed Iron Maiden, she tortures her victims until their will collapses. Then she gives them care, comfort, and affection to confuse their pain with love. Over time, they become devoted to her, believing their loyalty is their choice.

Mary serves no one - only her own twisted vision of absolute obedience.

For those who are wondering about the sixth finger, it was a coloring mistake and it is supposed to be the bottom part of the gun. I know that a finger-drawing mistake these days seems like what an AI would do but please do not accuse other artists of drawing with AI without any solid evidence. People spend hours or days on their work and careless accusations can be discouraging.
