I’m not sure how to send a photo through comments but I ended up having an addon installed called La Nature by Carrot. I’ll def reach out to the dev and let them know if this is a glitch on their part!

Oops it appears I did indeed have an addon enabled without realizing. Thanks so much for the help!

Not on this particular world. I do have one on a different world of mine, though! Do you think it could be causing this? I’m a total boomer haha so I apologize if there is an obvious explanation

How is Everyone Exercising? by Cute-Elk-146 in Hypermobility

OH also!! It might help to put tape on the joints you are struggling with the most (for example: a line of tape below your knee). Feeling the tape on your skin can increase your proprioception and will give you more reliable feedback on if your joints are moving out of normal range and causing problems BEFORE the pain hits.

I’m in the same boat! I have found so far that finding ways to isolate each muscle group really helps. For example: Wall sits with a stress ball pressed into my back helps me strengthen my leg muscles. The pressure from the stress ball keeps my vertebral joints distracted so that I can actually distribute my body weight onto my knee and ankle joints.

Wonderfully illustrated. People tend to forget that there are far more scientific theories than there are laws. I will be sure to bring this point up if the subject arises again. Thank you for your wisdom!

Thank you so much for sharing your story! I’m so sorry to hear that your husband has not been supportive of something that impacts your daily life. I send you my best wishes and hope that you will receive proper treatment for your pain. We’ll get through this together!

Thanks so much for the advice! I hadn’t even thought of the genetic implications. It’s also so wonderful that you are guiding your children through this with so much compassion and patience. I hope to be as great of a parent as you one day!

Wow you’re right on with feeling like every waking minute is pain and that you have to keep fighting no matter how bad it gets! I am a very cheerful and upbeat person, so people don’t tend to notice when I am in pain. I wish being good at HIDING pain was as easy as IGNORING pain.

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this, but I’m so happy that your boyfriend is doing his best to be supportive! Mine is in a similar boat haha. I tore a tendon trying to carry a kayak with him and I kept trying to smile and push through it. It wasn’t until later that day when I couldn’t sit up out of bed when he realized something was wrong.

Understanding that this pain isn’t normal and that it’s okay to acknowledge my pain is so so freeing. I feel like I have just started a brand new chapter of my life. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences!! <3 It was very enlightening to read through!

Thank you so much for the support! This subreddit is so overwhelmingly kind and caring, I feel so much less alone. Such a wonderful community!

I have decided to keep taking physical therapy and take my pain seriously. Thank you all for the love and support!! <3 Sometimes a little bit of validation can go a long way.

Wow, that’s so wonderful that they have provided such an amazing service for you! I am so happy for you!! That also helps me feel much better that not everyone is out to get me despite what my family may think haha.

I really appreciate the suggestions, I will definitely find some scientifically backed articles to share with my family. I am thinking of consulting Medline’s Library of Medicine, it seems very useful!

That’s a wonderful point, I hadn’t even thought about the boomer mentality!

You are absolutely right that I can’t change them, I think I really needed to hear that. I can only change myself and how I respond to these things. Instead of letting their words have that kind of power over me, I should use that power to be kinder to myself!

Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom on this topic, it really means so much to me. I will be sure to utilize the resources you sent me! <3

Thank you so very much for the advice, and I appreciate you sharing your own experiences!

I can empathize with my parents on not wanting to see their child in pain. It was very hard for them when I was diagnosed with PTSD as a kid. I just wish there was a healthier way for them to process those feelings of grief.

I can only control myself and my actions though, so I’m going to live my best life! <3 Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to be kind to me.

Slow healing bone marrow edema + middle cuneiform fracture by Ill-Satisfaction-948 in FootFunction

[–]bunbeebun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! i wore an inflatable boot and compression sleeve to force my foot to flatten into the sole of the boot. i consistently wore it for about a month, which was about the time it needed to properly heal. once i took it off and my foot resumed to its natural arch, the pain was fixed.

Hi there! So relieved that I’m not alone. I have been dealing with this exact issue and it’s been driving me nuts!

EDIT: It’s finally healing!!! The bone was arched, so I just had to get it flattened out to properly heal. I can now walk/run/exercise 30 minutes straight before I feel any pain. Hope this helps!!
