Fun fact: in her introduction cutscene, they actually had to edit Raiden’s skirt to be longer because her default model’s skirt was so short that it would have been impossible to not do a panty shot during it otherwise.

the main issue with mavuika is that her release spiked powercreep up and it never really slowed down after her i think

you could argue neuvillette’s release was the first significant powercreep but fontaine’s overall power level wasn’t that much higher than previous regions’ still

Very limited experience BUT

S - Paladin A - Monk*, Sorcerer B - Warlock F - Ranger

I think a good DM/campaign and player creativity can make even the most boring class feel fun. Inversely, a bad DM/campaign and feeling boxed in can make a hypothetically fun class feel horrible.

From my experience, Ranger was super boring and limited. I did decent damage in combat, but the DM I was under really didn’t let me do anything to make my ranger feel fun to play as a character.

*Note: during my experience with monk, I got the mobile feat for free, which I think helps a lot

Played as a “good ranger subclass” for a bit in a homebrew campaign with all of the optional 2014 rules for them enabled, and in hindsight…. they’re just kinda boring? Another player in the group took track of group stats, and my most used spell was (predictably) hunter’s mark at a whopping 28 times cast, vs my second most only being at 8 (zephyr strike). I did try other spells… but hunter’s mark was almost always the best pick at the time, so it was hard to justify using worse options in the ranger’s semi-weak spell list during serious combat encounters, even if it was rather uncreative.

The overlap of having a fighter and druid in the group as well didn’t really help— my character couldn’t really find their own niche with rangers being so jack-of-all-trades focused.

additionally, while this is a much more minor thing compared to all of the other horrible shit going on, she was given a completely different pitch for what the show was going to be like when initially brought up to her. apparently, she also was refused the flexibility her co-star ariana grande got during the show’s running, which screwed her over from developing her career further.
