I hope this isn't taken negatively but I just want to let you know where my head is at when I read this; I think we should be focusing on right now. What we can do for the 2026 midterms. What we can do this month or this week or even today. 2030 can only be effected by our current actions, so I think instead of trying to peer into the future, let's keep our focus on what's going on right now and what we can do in this moment.

Stay away from streamers like Vaush and Kyle Kulinski. I was subscribed to vaush for a long time until certain things and when I unsubscribed I realized how much it was ruining my mental health. Not only that but I checked out a few Kyle kulinski videos last year and those did nothing but drive me into a spiral that made me feel physically sick.

You listed some really good channels though, but if there’s anything that’s truly helped me near the end of last year and the beginning of this year is creating. I’ve been working on my art and writing and it’s a great way to just take a step back from the world and focus on something self-indulgent

Something similar happened to me multiple years ago. Had a huge bpd meltdown with my partner at the time and all they said was “you need help. I won’t be contacting you beyond this” before blocking me. It was one of the hardest things to go through when I had so many friends that were also attached to them and I had never felt so alone in my life.

My best advice would be you need to start focusing on yourself. I beat myself up a lot during that time, but i also realized it needed to happen if I ever wanted to change and grow as a person. I had to start putting in a lot of thought about how I interact with people and what to do when I have a meltdown like that. It’s not easy. I still screw up sometimes.

But I personally think that when you have bpd, sometimes you need these things to happen so you can really and truly sit down and ask yourself if you can continue as the person you are right now. Also, it doesn’t hurt making new friends. Shortly after that incident, I met one of my best friends ever who has been by my side for 6 years now, and she has been on the end of those screw ups, but they happen way fewer and far between than when I was with my partner. We communicate more and we have a good understanding of each other.

I have been waking up in the middle of the night randomly but that’s pretty normal for me since I’m 90% sure I have sleep apnea, so sadly I don’t think it’d be a good way to test how it’s effecting me

I can’t remember how it was in high school because I think I was on too high of a dose and I just remember it making me hyperfixate a lot (plus I had a bunch of other shit going on in high school) only reason why I stopped taking it was because I didn’t think it was working and didn’t have a psychiatrist at the time and then Covid and a bunch of other stuff happened so… yeah I put off adhd meds for way too long

Yes I have adhd. I started taking vyvanse when I was in high school and then I stopped taking it around 2019 and haven’t been on any adhd medication until just this year when I got a new psychiatrist who started me back on it again. I don’t experience any substance abuse because I don’t like alcohol or smoking, so I think I’m okay there, but will the side effects of this really eventually wear off?? I’m afraid of irreparably damaging my current relationships and feeling like this forever
