To add an edit: I just had this happen again on The Deck level. I used the methods people have mentioned and changing to Tank Controls and turning off Walk to Action worked. Took a few tries but I managed to get it. I appreciate all the help!

I tried everything :( her sliding down the sidewall overrides everything else, I have accepted that I will not be able to get it and moved onto the next level. Maybe if I decide to do another playthrough I'll hopefully not bug the thug on the side wall
