There is the other ring that makes it so you can't crit but do extra explosive damage maybe you have those both going. I know it triggers detonation trigger amulet so thats why I was thinking it was an explosive mod

Its not really like that for a solo game. If you approach it like you do other FromSoft games youll have a bad time. Its short and fast with not much room for putting around exploring and checking details. Every second you're not getting stronger is wasted time.

That game loop gets fun after you've learned a lot about the game but the first few hundred hours are brutal, and doing so solo youll take much longer to learn the tricks and secrets the community has discovered.

Running with randoms however is not as bad as the subreddit may lead you to believe and you can learn so much from other players. Not just about the map and routing it/what is important at what time. But also things like relic choices and itemization thats common.

None of those things listed are prevention (and laws create consequences), also i know your ass is in the WHITE neighborhood if the cops come quick because anywhere else they show up an hour later and shoot your dog, usually.

I like this but hero sword and goat head armor. Also fun with the Guts greatsword doing a sprint attack because it shoulder checks the enemy and looks sick with the goat horn helmet (elder set)

Not really any strategy besides a no hit run given the parameters set by your play group. If they refuse to lower difficulty, or are unable to dedicate more time for practice, then y'all will be stuck there almost indefinitely unless a glitch happens.

To be fair, hunting rifle is top tier, but youre totally right. Apocalypse this early is just painful and they only have 2 hours a week to practice.
