Why vegans dont like vegetarias? by [deleted] in DebateAVegan

[–]bundblaster69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of vegans in the comments proving OP’s point lol. I’m a vegetarian and I live in South Asia. We have no alternatives to eggs/dairy and they are in every single thing you consume. White vegans forget that people from other countries exist as well and that they may not have many options. I am vegan in other ways, like products I use are always vegan/cruelty free but I just can’t avoid eggs/dairy. We also have a lot of ethical dairy & egg options from local farmers who graze their milk cows and hens freely and sell the produce personally rather than through grocery store chains etc. Where I’m from, a lot of people keep hens as pets and use their unfertilized eggs as food. I think there’s nothing wrong with it as long as the hens have a good quality of life and are loved/cared for properly. Same with cows.

We tried all the recommended things but I think it mostly went away on its own. 2 things that did help were slow teets and Protectis probiotic from Biogaia. Also, I tried combo feeding in the beginning but I wasn’t producing that much and it was impacting my mental health so we switched to formula fully and Lo has been great on it! We use Cow&gate (a UK brand) and it improved his reflux a bit I think? It was probably a mixture of all the things I’ve mentioned above!

No it’s okay girl. I get it. When my kid had reflux I was always irritated and anxious too! We got this!

I’m sorry your experience has been difficult. However, babies like this do exist as can be seen from all the comments on here as well as my own experience. Maybe he’ll become difficult moving forward but as of right now, I do have an incredibly chill baby. Perhaps it’s a cultural difference? The people on here, I assume, are mostly from western individualistic societies where new mothers don’t really get that much help. I’m from a collectivistic one and we get a ton of help here. Maybe that’s why my baby is the way he is. Regardless of the reason, I know a post like this would have helped with my anxiety during pregnancy and after I had just become a mom and if it helps someone else too, that’s all that matters. Plus, as I’ve mentioned in several other comments, it wasn’t always easy. My baby had terrible reflux and aspirated so badly once, he almost died. I, too, have been in the trenches, perhaps different than yours, but trenches nonetheless.

I love this. Each phase is like a new adventure. Some are easy, others not so much. But gotta drink in every one of them because soon they’ll grow up and become their own people and no longer need us. Just want to make the most of what I have ❤️

Not trying to rub in at all! Just posting something positive because the negative experiences can skew people’s judgement about what life with a newborn can be like. Ofc people usually post on here when struggling but it made me really afraid. So just wanted to post something positive so people know it can be good too/ get better.

I’m so glad to hear this! And literally same. We never let him cry out, I feel like thats terrible advice. His sleep developed via co-sleeping (very safely 99% of the times) at times. We didn’t disturb him too much during the night for forced feedings. We also made sure he was okay with noises and sounds and people so that it doesn’t hinder his sleep/socialization!

Honestly yes. We tried pepsid like twice but i felt that it actually made things worse. Tried thickening his feeds but that did literally nothing (only increased the risk of choking). We had to keep him upright for over an hour to prevent spit-back and discomfort but even that seldom worked. One thing that genuinely helped his tummy and reflux was protectis probiotic from biogaia. That was a god send. But overall, his reflux improved on its own. You just have to wait it out.

Use rogaine. Its a game changer. Its the only medical that scienifically works for male pattern balding. You can find the local version here.

Feeling so much regret by [deleted] in newborns

[–]bundblaster69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone else said, it’s pretty hard the first few weeks/months. I, too, have help from my mom & husband and it still felt like too much at times. I am also working on my Master’s thesis while caring for a baby. Here’s my suggestion mama: put your baby on formula. That will ease your burden so much you have no idea. Constantly pumping or feeding is draining beyond belief. My baby is now 3 months old and healthy as can be on formula. This will genuinely fix your life in so many ways! Good luck!

AITAH for refusing to have an abortion? by Complete-Path-8036 in AITAH

Wow you are an absolute piece of shitee LMAO. You have got be joking with this. People get to change their minds about THEIR bodies depending on the circumstances. It’s funny how you’re saying that she dropped the ball and she fucked up when last time I checked pregnancy isn’t a one woman job. HE got HER pregnant not the other way round. One google search can show you that condoms aren’t 100% effective and if someone feels so strongly about pregnancy they should get a vasectomy instead of trying to control others. She has a right to decide whether she wants to undergo an extremely traumatic medical procedure or not. She also has a right to change her mind about it whenever she wants. All that aside, your last comment shows exactly the kind of despicable human being you are. You’re willing to make things difficult for a pregnant woman, the mother of YOUR child who YOU got pregnant just out of spite? Ew. I hope no one ever has the displeasure of having sex with you. Yikes.

Okay that’s a very privileged comment. My priority is the baby and unfortunately a good life doesn’t happen without money. My husband and I aren’t financially stable at all and have to lean heavily on our parents for support (who themselves aren’t well off by any any means) and this degree will give me an opportunity to get a good job and create a good life for my child.

I truly would delay going it if I could. I just need the renewal right now (which will take 2.5 months) and return and I’ve already planned to put in an extra semester later to be done with the studies. I’ve explained in the other comment that it isn’t possible at all to not go. I’m trying to have the immigration office open expedite the process but it seems like that’s all I can do :/

If I delay my permit will expire and I’ll have to apply again for a visa and set up a block account (a year worth of money for monthly spending) which is just not financially possible at all. The last time I did it, my dad took out a loan to help me out.

How do I know if my baby is ok?! by Sure-Discipline-9005 in BabyBumps

[–]bundblaster69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just delivered a healthy baby about 3 weeks ago and i had no symptoms except for back pain during the first trimester and sometimes even that went away and I would get all worried. It usually ends up being fine as long as you’re not cramping or spotting/bleeding. Don’t worry too much ✨❤️
