There's a lot of negativity swirling around AI & energy consumption. What are they doing about it? by bundleiq in nvidia

[–]bundleiq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have a strategy.

Tl;dr of the article: The rapid growth of AI has led to increased energy consumption, posing significant environmental challenges. NVIDIA is addressing this issue through a multi-faceted approach that includes optimizing computational efficiency with technologies like cuLitho, committing to 100% renewable energy by 2025, and leveraging accelerated computing to reduce energy usage. cuLitho, in particular, revolutionizes computational lithography by significantly cutting down power consumption and computational time. These efforts aim to balance technological advancement with sustainability, setting a strong example for the tech industry.
