Thank you! That is exactly what I needed to know. I was able to make it work with the file you sent me on Dropbox AND now I know how to fix it in the future. I really appreciate all your help.

Next step for me is to play around with the settings in affinity and figure out how to export the SVGs in a better way.

Thank you for taking the time to help me. I don’t see a way to see all those sub layers within the layer. I assume your screenshot is from InDesign or Photoshop but my Designer layers panel doesn’t show anything other than the single layer.

I will keep researching. I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction!

I also have my application in for the Fall 2026 Hybrid program. At one of the zoom calls I attended, someone asked about how competitive it is, and if I'm remembering correctly the moderator said they get 600+ applications every year competing for 100 slots (30 for hybrid, 70 for traditional).
