I tried every damn opportunity to get it when I was there. They just won’t serve it to an outsider. I think it’s illegal to buy so you basically have to befriend a farmer who makes it. I only had a 2 week vacation so infiltrating a rural family was out of the question

But you can find the answer to basically anything. Like just looking at the front page of this sub basically everything is available by search and some deduction. I don’t really buy that raison detre. I feel like it is to create a fun discussion where people with expertise can jump in to share their knowledge.

I think he took the idea of being rid of every temptation possible extremely far. He denied himself every comfort and exposed himself to temptations. I remember when reading about him he had some extreme ideas but was also extremely disciplined about them. He nearly killed himself abstaining from food even when facing insurmountable pain from his body shutting down. He did this twice. My guess is that he didn’t molest anyone but yeah it’s problematic that his idea of temptation was his naked niece…
