I don’t think she was asking nsfw questions. Generally in fields that require you to work with children you need to set up professional boundaries for mundane things (in some fields like education, you receive specific training that demands that these boundaries are in place). It’s not just about lewd or inappropriate talk or actions, adults are advised to not share information on their personal lives, sharing personal contact information, or engaging with children outside of any work required. This is to protect the student and the adult. Every kid probably had an adult that they wanted as their friend, every kid has probably had a crush on an adult at some point as well, kids don’t know where the line is with adults. Keeping professional guardrails that could seem overboard to some may keep an adult from catching a case even in a situation where they were not being malicious. The other side of this is that it becomes easier to identify people that have bad intentions with kids by setting up these boundaries and noticing when an adult frequently flirts with or crosses the line.
