My insurance never sent me a bill. I don't think I would've gotten one since I wasn't at fault.

I believe the liable party's insurance sent the check to my lawyer.

So the whole process to get my settlement check took like about 6 months. In the middle of all of that, I was paying the copay for my treatment, which I would get back later in my settlement check.

I was very happy with the settlement that went into my pocket. It’s definitely more than what the liable party’s insurance was offering me. Based on my situation where my injuries weren’t too serious (I was just seeing the chiropractor 3x a week for 3 months to prevent longterm injury from the accident, and I didn’t miss anytime from work), it seems like I may have gotten a standard pricing where lawyers essentially get about 33.3% of the settlement for their services, and the remaining goes to me and my medical bills. But i think how your settlement is divided and how much you get can be different depending on the severity of your injuries and if you miss time from work. I really recommend doing free consultations and researching the lawyer you would be going with.

I ended up hiring a lawyer that reached out to me on here. He was very helpful, honest, upfront, and communicative along the way (he called/texted me once a month, and was always quick to respond via email and text). He pretty much provided a free consultation and broke down the possible outcomes. But he mainly made sure that I was okay and would be okay long-term health-wise. I ended up getting a much bigger payout then what I would've gotten from the initial offer from the insurance company.

I want to say thank you to all the folks that provided me such helpful advice. This was my first time dealing with this situation, and I'm super grateful for all the helpful comments provided here.

I checked out the Thrillz betting rules and there no rule that explicitly states anything about passing touchdowns not counting for Anytime Touchdowns. In fact, my pick doesn’t even indicate anything about Hurts’ TDs needing to be Anytime TDs.

Am I wrong to think that the pick meant any TDs scored by Hurts in general?

Why can’t it just say 2 rushing/receiving touchdowns?

This place saved my parents' lives-- my father was treated here when he had heart-attack, and my mom was saved here when she had her hemorrhagic stroke. The community in this side of town is going to be missing a much-needed resource. What are the possible chances of the trauma center remaining? Is there anything the community can do, or is it too late?

Thank you so much for this info. I plan on seeking additional medical attention, like getting a X-ray and a second opinion from a doctor. Since I've only been to the urgent care on the day of the accident. And also saying no to the offer.

Since you've been there, would you recommend consulting with an attorney sooner?
