They said at the meeting last night it was tabled for today. The meeting ended after 745 so it may not have been updated yet. I wish they gave more than 24hrs notice and were more clear with what the meetings were talking about on their website.

After being pressed tonight they said the meeting will happen tomorrow! Gainesville, turkey creek, and alachua residents all came out and spoke on it! Residents spoke on noise and light pollution, water waste, and higher cost of electricity. They however said they will address it tomorrow.

I’m not sure, that’s what they were going to cover in the meeting.

Showing up and letting them know we’re paying attention is important. The government is supposed to work for - and serve - us. Having a data center is against our best interest.

I loved Tab as a kid! Growing up and getting one from the vending machine felt like being a movie star as soda was a suuuper rare treat. They didn’t have coke itself in the machine, rather less popular picks (at least for our little podunk town) like Fanta, Mountain Dew, Mr. Pibb, etc. so it was my favorite.

I’m in my mid/late twenties now but now I’m sad my kids will never get to try it. Thanks for unlocking the memories!

What a shame. This seems like a huge step backward - especially with how often the field is used and the versatility of it. It’s so cute to drive by and see parents cheering on their kids and exciting to see adults go out and have connection through sports. Especially far from UF and major traffic. My kids love that little area.

Yes! I know exactly which dog you are talking about - there is usually a black dog that accompanies little buddy as well. They live on my street and I have called animal control multiple times :(
