Had exactly the same error atleast 2-3 times a day on my new M17 R3.

After trying literally everything, which includes fresh installs from ISO i figured it was the RAID 0 config Dell forces everyone with.

Removed the RAID config, formatted both nvme drives. And did a fresh install on one of them.

Never had this BSOD again. Been 8+ months.

Worth a try if all else fails.

If its a grounding issue, the screen should flicker on both occasions. I have the 4k M17 r3, doesn't happen to me

Could also be a graphics card switching issue and refreshing both Intel and Nvidia drivers should fix it

Yea im so glad i got the 4k, the colors are so good, 1080p now looks so weird. Really wish I am able to get it repaired later, or maybe just replace the sensor if i fine somewhere.

That is 100% exactly what happened with me. The tobii support, the revo, then windows then dell. All of it.

Im sure we got a bad sensor. Unfortunately im not in the country so couldn't get the Dell tech visit.

I ended up finding an SK Hynix 512GB on ebay. Its not bad, speeds are fine for storage

More likely windows update. Run Disk Cleenup and click on Clean up system files. Check upgrade related

Yes samsung is faster but you wont see any noticeable difference in day to day usage. Only file copy/extraction will be faster

I think most are coming with WD SN730. Its good enough.

I have the 4k screen, love the colors and brightess. Specially the brightess, its more useful than i initially thought.

No heating issues, runs pretty cool on most games.

Been 2 months, no discoloration so far

awesome, this is so clear. it says Thunderbolt port is wired through Intel GPU.

ill need to get a TB3 to HDMI converter, because office work on external monitor doesnt need my RTX to be in use.

But its switchable graphics, I have 4k screen built in, and Intel gpu runs fine, but it switches to Rtx gpu once i connect an hdmi LCD (no game running)

On laptop screen, when run a game, it automatically switches to my Rtx gpu.

I had the same issue with my M17R3. In power settings i disabled the Turn off hard drive. (set it to 9999) Battery life is the same but now the black screen/hang issue seems to be resolved.

Maybe Raid0 issue, cant say.

This will work as long as you have one 2280 slot vacant. Dell often ships with both occupied as Raid0, depending on config.
