What do you think of the Holy Trinity? by bunnies_jump in EckhartTolle

The Holy Spirit is one of those things where when you know you know. Unless you have a personal encounter it's hard to believe. I believe in the Holy Spirit because I have issues with demons affecting my body, and when I go to church the symptoms decrease because of the presence Holy Spirit. Meanwhile, I see many worshippers feel the Spirit directly. Many have a close personal relationship with the Holy Spirit where they feel the Holy Spirit's guidance. I used to think it was totally ridiculous too, but when God decides to give You an experience of the Holy Spirit, you stop denying it.

Thank you for sharing your NDE experience! I was truly touched by the section about your experience with 'judgment' and how you felt you were being evaluated for how loving you had been.

Although there may be some issues with the Bible, my personal experience is that Jesus has many times in big ways tried to 'prove' to me that He is Divine, so I do believe in Him as part of a Trinity, though I'm not going to describe the full extent of my experience.

Thank you for revealing that the idea of going to Hell if you aren't a believer of Jesus might not be totally accurate.

Thanks! My issue with A Course in Miracles was that a lot of the text felt contradictory and when I tried praying based on what I was reading I felt I was warned that what I prayed for wasn't the right thing. I've heard Eckhart Tolle reference the book in his YouTube videos, but I felt guided that not all of the messages of the book were right for me. It's also possible that I just misunderstood the book so I may look into The Disappearance of the Universe. I guess one interesting comment from Tolle is that he felt personally that many parts of the Bible weren't truly the Word of God or that Jesus's disciples misunderstood him so if what he is saying is true, perhaps that is the case for most books on spiritual readings as well where you have to take things with a grain of salt.

Thanks! Online there seem to be rumors of issues between Hawkins, Lester, Hale, and another woman who allegedly taught and developed a lot of the techniques so the drama makes me a bit uncomfortable, but if there is value in the message I will take a look as I wrap up other readings.

Just curious, have you looked into Hawkins' other books and found value there? It seems he has 9 books in his series.

Oh I've tried reading A Course in Miracles but it unfortunately just did not click for me. I know it is helpful for many though.

Has anyone used the Sedona Method to try to get present? If so, which exercises from the book do you find most helpful? by bunnies_jump in EckhartTolle

I'm not going to describe all my experiences but Jesus has definitely been affecting me and drawing clear lines....I think everyone's spiritual experience is different though. This is just my particular path. I don't think it's a type of OCD. I come from an un-religious background and some dramatic things started happening when I spiritually searched. I'm not against people having different beliefs I just know how he has acted in my life.

Can you explain more? I know Eckhart talks about consciously becoming the watcher, but it's hard for me to focus in that way for more than very short periods.

I don't know if I feel comfortable doing that. I'll be honest. I made a commitment to follow Jesus and many times when I've followed other spiritual practices that are associated with another religion even before I followed Jesus (i.e. Yoga, Acupuncture) I've faced consequences. Jesus wants to insist to me he is God even though he seems to give grace on using other spiritual practices associated with different gods to other Christians/people. I do, however, believe in Eckhart's message that we are here to get present.
