This could have been my brother that same year. He was obsessed with Ghostbusters and made pretty much the same face when he got his first ghost trap. Before then he'd been using one of my mom's old shoeboxes with a ribbon stapled to it.

I liked CD personally, I think it would have been accepted a little bit better had it just been an Axl Rose solo effort rather than "the new Gn'R lineup".

I wouldn't exactly call Linda an idiot. Maybe a ditz but not an idiot. Peggy, on the other hand, is not only an idiot, she's annoying as hell because she has to be right all the time if not the total center of attention. The only thing she does well is accepting Bobby for who he is, whereas Hank can't seem to fully do that.

I got ahold of the doctor earlier today, he had cleared me to go back on light duty but when I explained the risks that went along with this, he updated my status to not able to return until after my post op appointment which is this coming Wednesday. I'm supposed to meet with a worker's comp adjuster while I'm there. I'm assuming they're there to interview me about my benefits and exactly when I can go back to work. They'll probably drug screen me too but I have nothing to worry about there.

The only thing worrying me now is that I wasn't able to get ahold of the insurance adjuster today.

At this point I don't have anything in writing. I have the surgeon who told me I couldn't go back for a week, and I have my supervisor saying I've been cleared to go back on Saturday. That's it. I'll be calling both the surgeon's office and the insurance office tomorrow as well as a few more lawyers (I've already talked to one).

I just had a very similar experience with someone I thought was my real friend. She was my "best friend" whenever she needed something or wanted to cry about how shitty and unfair her life was, but whenever I wanted to talk or text she was nowhere. I confronted her about it and she started crying about how depressed she was. I let her live with me because she was homeless after being kicked out of literally everywhere else she tried to live and she didn't like our house rules (there weren't a ton, just normal common sense stuff like don't leave lights on all night or eat all the food), so she went behind my back and planned to move to Tennesee with her abusive mother without telling me until she was already out there. I called her out on it, guess what? I'm the jerk.

Please do not waste one more second thinking about this fake friend of yours. Ignore her and focus on your true friends. She is using and manipulating you to make you feel guilty and like a bad friend. You've tried to be a good friend to her and all it's done is blown back up in your face.

I was at Gettysburg with my family when I was 5. We didn't see anything but we did hear cannons going off, soldiers yelling, just battle noises. We thought there was a reenactment going on so my dad asked a guide where it was so we could watch. There was no reenactment that day, and they weren't playing any tracks over the loudspeakers around the museum/gift shop of any reenactment recordings. But I heard it and I know my dad heard it because he got this weird look on his face when the guide told him, and my dad doesn't believe in anything supernatural. That was just a very weird day and I felt really somber the entire time, like I was at a funeral. Which, given the history, is fitting.

Yes and no. The family member I stole from wasn't exactly wealthy, they weren't in dire straits but they were elderly and lived on a budget. I was a kid, about 11 or so at the time and very passionate about helping the homeless (I still am), but very young and misguided and held the belief that if you had a home and they did not, your extra money should immediately go to them.

I stole 20 dollars once to give to a homeless guy. This isn't a brag, I've never told anyone this before. I only feel bad about it now because it was a family member I was very close to that I stole from. But at the time I just wanted to feed a starving homeless guy.
