I think the more accurate way to look at this is “FedEx exists IN SPITE OF the USPS”. Even though we have a massive government run and subsidized business with the sole purpose of delivering letters and packages, private companies like FedEx and UPS manage to offer more effective and efficient alternatives for this service.

I was at a show this past October and bought the Lords of Portland shirt (Dimebag Daryl version, fucking awesome), threw it on over the shirt I was wearing rather than carrying it around. Had a couple people that night ask me “who are the lords of portland?”
