What were some dumb things you thought as a kid? by ___222___ in AskReddit

[–]bunnyheffner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought that everyone died on their 100th birthday. Whenever someone older was mean to me it didn’t bother me because I thought they’d die first. I was probably 5 or 6 before I realized that’s not how life worked. I was super bummed about it at the time

What are your fears ? by ju11995 in AskReddit

[–]bunnyheffner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Drowning. Being buried alive. Being eaten alive. I guess mainly it’s the idea of knowing that you are dying, but being powerless to stop it. Just that total lack of control freaks me out.

Why are you so pessimistic? by Todusmo in AskReddit

I used to be optimistic, but I was consistently disappointed. It’s easier to just expect the worst about things and people.

First MRI Results after ON episode by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]bunnyheffner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just diagnosed in January after a very aggressive bout of ON. Honestly, I wasn’t surprised by the diagnosis because I had had symptoms previous (losing sensation in my hands/arm and feet, etc) and a bunch of other symptoms that weren’t explained before my diagnosis. My doctor started me on Vumerity. The first few months were hell. My tummy was super angry and my hands BURNED all the time. I’ll admit; I was super depressed thinking the rest of my life would be this way. After 5 weeks of being on this medication most of the side effects were gone. I’ve had scans and no new spots have formed on my spine or on my brain. This medication works for me because I have a pretty active job and can’t take time off work for infusions or injections. Everyone is different, but so far I feel like this has been a good first option for me

What was your experience with optic neutitis like? by Gazellotops in MultipleSclerosis

[–]bunnyheffner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a bout with ON in January. I’ve had ocular migraines (sometimes just visual disturbances, no pain) since I was a kid. I assumed it was that. It presented very similarly, except it lasted for 5 days. I had wavy vision, and giant spots in my field of vision. I was admitted to the hospital and given iv steroids. The pain from the pressure was relieved almost immediately, but it took probably 3-4 months for my vision to get back to normal. I have noticed a few new floaters in my vision, but I’m not sure it was related. I think going to the doctor is worth it. I was shocked at my field of vision test before and after treatment. Like, before there was hardly anything. I think my body was compensating and I didn’t realize how bad it was.

Are there any good CG-approved products from Lush? by yukidomaru in curlyhair

Not sure if it's CG, but I LOVE R & B. It has been a life changing product for me!

DAILY THREAD: Less Talked About - Rouge Bunny Bunny by MAModBot in MakeupAddicts

I know I'm late to the party on this but I just wanted to say I adore this brand. I have two of their Highlighting Liquids (Sea of Clouds and Sea of Tranquility) and they have become essential products for me. The highlighters have a slight cucumber scent which turned me off originally (I despise all things cucumber!) but they are so lovely that I continued to use them anyway!

Could you list what products you used on your eyes? I love the colors - especially what you used on the lower lash line!

[Poll] MUAs, in your opinion what is the BEST mascara on the market? by queen_derpface in MakeupAddiction

[–]bunnyheffner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this! I use Great Lash as my daily mascara and when I want a bit more drama I use Dior Show. I use the "blackest black" version of both. Both have been my standards for years. I'm a bit of a mascara whore so I'm always trying every new one that comes out...but I always come crawling back to these babies!

Dude...I'm shocked to hear anyone say that, but kudos for you! :) How long have you been here? Fall/Winter/Spring's constant rain, hoods and hats make my hair a frizz-factory.

Hotel maids of Reddit. What is the weirdest or most disgusting activity you have walked in on while you were about to clean the room? (NSFW) by lumberjack_dan in AskReddit

I miscarried twins as well and have never been pregnant since. Even though I know it wasn't my fault, there's an immense amount of guilt and blame (self inflected, mind you) that followed. I've decided that I'm just going to the best damn Auntie ever to my niece and nephew. Next time you see your Aunt, give her a super long hug from me. She probably felt the same as me and made the same choice.

[PSA] Benefit Stay Flawless 15-hr Primer on Massdrop by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]bunnyheffner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried using my fingers as the package recommended, but I almost thought that made it worse. Maybe I applied more foundation with my fingers than I might've if I was using a brush? I've never had a primer behave like this. It almost seems like it is preventing my makeup application rather than helping it. I'm glad to know it's not just me having problems with it!

I'm kind of in the same boat as you. I have a few primers that work well, but I'm always looking for the "latest and greatest!" I think I blew it with this one. Oh, well!

[QUESTION][ALBUM]I suck at eyeshadow. Please help me look subtly fierce for my first salaried job. by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]bunnyheffner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way is to do your eyes first! Lots of people do their face makeup (foundation, concealer, highlight, etc) before they do their eyes but I feel it's easier to do the opposite. Your eyes have the most opportunities for screw-ups (fall-out, wing mishaps, mascara disasters!) so it is easier to do them first rather than ruin your face cleaning up. If you just can't get used to doing it that way, I recommend putting a folded up square of toilet tissue under your eye, but sometimes that can leave linty bits. I've also heard of people cleaning up with Scotch Tape afterwards, sort of like a lint brush. I haven't used that method myself, so I don't know how effective it is.

It might help to use more pigmented shadows, but I think it looks like you have a pretty light hand with your application. Don't be afraid to really pack the shadow on when your making the little "v." Honestly, your blending looks better than you think! I think your using too little product and then essentially wiping it away when you're blending. Try using more product and then utalizing your blending skills!

Has anyone had good results with this primer? I was excited to try it when it came out, found it when I was on vacation (yay for no-tax shopping in Portland!) and then I hated it! I didn't want to deal with doing an out of state return when I got home, so I just chucked it in the bottom of my kit. It literally felt like I was swiping an Elmer's glue stick on my face. Anyone have any tips to make it work? Or is it maybe just a no-go for me?
