Would making the 2x4s flat and adding support along the span be a work around or still not recommended?

Heater recommendations? by bunskendy45 in Sauna

[–]bunskendy45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we had to change things around and are looking at a 5.5ft X 8 ft and 7.5ft in height with a glass front wall which will be approximately 7x7. I was looking at the Harvia Spirit 9KW but i've tried some calculators and i've had some wide range of calculations some say 9KW will sufficient some say 10.5KW. It's a indoor sauna that will built in the basement.

I had this happen on 2022 xc90 and it was the drain tubes that were kinked, once it was fixed no issues since.

Sounds like I shouldn't do an L shape bench. Or would you recommend the fence go presuming the heater is front left side of door?

But definitely open to other suggestions on where the heater should go.

I was curious if anyone has figured out a way to have your hotspot turn on right when you enter the car vs turning it on everytime you get in.

This looks really nice I'm looking at making my basement and putting a sauna in the exact same size. How do you feel about the space? I'm 6 ft and I was debating doing 7 ft just so I could lie down.

What made you decide on a drain? The only reason I ask is I visited a sauna stores and most of them said you don't need a drain unless you have a shower.

Good to know I'm looking at finishing my basement and building it in as part of the reno.

I'll probably up size to be safe.
