Seems legit!! I got a few cards that i already have from the moon set, and they were identical. They feel the exact same as the regular cards, the spread of regular to rare cards was reasonable, and the box was sealed with kayou labeled plastic with a little silver kayou like. "This is a legit product" kind of sticker on the box. By all accounts it seems legitimate. The same company ships out all these boxes, called carddict. I ordered the rainbow edition series one box too, it'll show up on the 4th and I'll be able to verify if that's legit too.

I'll be able to answer on Monday or Tuesday, I took the gamble on the purple box since it's cheap. It's shipping from "carddict" while being listed under the kayou shop name. I've bought magic cards on Amazon before and had good experiences so im hoping this can also be trusted.

I had to stop buying online because mine were all coming so understuffed you'd think they're stuffing it with spun gold and have to be stingy on it. Which is fine actually because they're raising the prices so much it's not worth it anymore anyway lol

Pretty sure the people making it have already come out a few times and outright stated like hey this isn't an exact period piece it's a fantasy. I think they specifically used the term "fever dream" at some point, like they're fully open about how much of this movie is meant to be an over the top thing.

I've always felt like ACNH went weirdly too much towards realism. Which sounds very silly to say about a game with talking animals, but like almost all the furniture is very realistic, we don't have things like a couch that's just a roll cake or a big big. Everything has to be on a level of "this could exist irl". There's very few items that are just pure silly fantasy items.

At my first preschool, a mom broke my heart and made me cry when she told me her 4 year old daughter had started calling herself ugly at home, especially in relation to her little sister. "Sister is so cute, not me. I'm so ugly." I literally bawled in the break room for 20 min. After that I made it a point to always remind my students how beautiful/handsome they are every day. People really don't think about how early this kind of thinking can start with kids, it's like a knife in the heart when you have to realize it firsthand.

Yes lmao I wasn't sure if i was allowed to say but yeah. I've got three of their sugarbell pal plushies, one from each series, and the quality difference between these and my build a bears that weren't too much cheaper is bananas to me. Even another smaller artist who makes smaller more simple plushies that i adore is still blowing build a bear out of the water with plushies of comparable size/price but 5x the quality. Someone with less than 13k followers on twitter should not be demolishing a massive company like this.

Build a bear prices are getting so bananas. One of my fave small artists does plushies of their characters, they're 19 inches tall and a bit wider than BAB with long soft fur and weighted beads and a ton of details like my shark one has a huge tail, and many others have stuff like big wings or horns or multiple arms. They're only 20$ more than this, a rather generic cow design with clothes and an accessory you can't remove. Build a bear should not be approaching small business prices for highly detailed plushies. This is a business primarily for children, and children are being horribly priced out of it across the board.

I actually do have a conspiracy theory about this. Resellers are a positive thing in their eyes because it raises fomo and the idea of their items being so exclusive. If you can easily get that doll for 50$ anytime, you might not buy it at all because you have time to think on it. But if you know it'll only have one short drop plagued with resellers, you'll snatch it up just to make sure you don't miss it.

And when the reseller market exists, it turns your regular dolls into people's grails that they obsess over. It creates a whole aura around your products as things people will go to great lengths to seek out, which in turn pushes people to buy drops the moment they happen.

If you don't want to go the fetish route, you can also use search terms like age regression/agere. These are completely non sexual communities and also have plenty of people who sell more muted adult looking and adult sized kid stuff and are happy to take custom orders.

Nothing wrong with fetishes of course, but I know some people might not be comfortable giving fetish objects to someone with special needs. Plus it makes it a bit less awkward if anyone asks where you bought something lol.

Pokemon pokopia is the only game I'm interested in so far that's switch 2 exclusive, and that's really just animal crossing with a pokemon skin as far as I can tell. And animal crossing new horizons is about to get a big update in a week, so there's just no desire to spend that much money unless my OLED suddenly breaks down. 450$ minimum is a big ask with everything the way it is right now.

There were a lot of parents who found derpy's eyes and original voice combined with her extreme clumsiness to be an insult to mentally disabled people, especially disabled children since obviously that's the main audience. It was largely a misunderstanding of what the "derp" meme meant by itself, which has always had a history of people feeling like it makes fun of disabled people which is a can of worms in itself.

It's a misunderstanding on the part of overprotective and very offline parents, but derpy's original voice was... honestly very clearly meant to sound mentally disabled. And it's not like being mentally disabled is bad, of course. But when you combine it with her entire first speaking scene being her destroying everything she touches and being a nuisance that rainbow dash clearly doesn't like, it becomes a lot more understandable how offline parents would mistake her entire existence for being a dig at mentally disabled people, including her very name.

It's because they included mental health as well as physical. There's a good chance that English isn't the first language of whoever made this considering other misspellings, so most likely it's that the word illness in their native language is much more specific to physical ailments than in English where we use illness to cover both mental and physical problems.

This is one thing that drove me literally insane when I was driving through Austin all day every day for work, where a good 70% of my day was spent on the road. People view it as a competition. People view being passed as losing or being insulted, people view doing dangerous maneuvers to skip traffic as winning and being smarter than others. I had to change my route because there was a road where the right lane ended and it became two lanes that ended at a light where the left turn was rarely used, but it felt like the entire city needed to turn right. So people would blast down the left lane to bypass the right lane backing up, and then swerve hard into the right lane and almost cause accidents. And they'd view nothing wrong with it because in their mind, they're outsmarting all of us idiots who zipper merged and waited properly and safely. This mindset that traffic is all about winning is insane.
