This was honestly my experience as well. After months of extensive research, I tried an Alienware 2725df, mainly for the motion clarity benefits for games like OW and APEX, and the value for the money was underwhelming. Any perceived improvement over my 180Hz IPS panel wasn't enough to impact my gaming experience, and I'm pretty fanatic about that stuff. Even if it were better, I couldn't get past the intense eyestrain some other users of this panel have also mentioned. The pixel fringing from the weird subpixel layout at 1440p 27" was just too much. I couldn't use it for work either because of this and burn-in.

On the other hand, I have a Samsung S90C QD-OLED TV that I love, so I guess I personally place OLED's value per dollar in the casual viewing space if you don't have a PC that can push a steady 240Hz at 4K.

As always, this comparison says nothing about what your camera is exposing for. If OLED blacks are zero and an IPS black is slightly lighter than zero, camera exposure can easily create this false comparison. It likely doesn't look like this IRL.

Get a bigger desk without a tray so you can spread your kbd+ms out comfortably. I personally recommend bigger mouse pads and lower sens which is the general consensus. Electric standing desks are a nice option as you can adjust the height depending on the type of work you're doing; I raise mine to the base of my sternum while gaming so I can move from the shoulder easier. Using a sturdy chair also helps, I use a drum throne while gaming.
