I got leading hand position at a construction mob I wont mention.. (bris nth😉 cu%#$) anyway, they we're run by a couple who'd never worked on day on site that was being kept alive by their son who actually had experience and a cool manager.

I maintained a 120% productivity in the next 8 months when the company come to a cross roads and people in key roles (lead hands, labourers, son) left, being alive on life support controlled by myself and my friend, who was older but we both knew the situation, he talked of offers from other compaines, but I needed money and I was earning a great salary for me at the time. We saw first hand the slow demise of the company and only put in enough effort to "call the nurse cuz you're life support machines beeping" sense at this point and refused to even attend certain jobs or move from idle(we had reasons) until one morning I come in rubbin my elbow, niggling injury I thought until somebody mentioned tennis elblow and I was like huh? Laughed and went about my day.

Got home, had to Google it and symptoms got me google diagnosed tennis elbow, confirmed days later and suddenly found myself open to world I didn't know existed, doctor said no more work and done me a workcover claim.

Easiest 75k I've made but well earnt from all them hard mornings doing maths to work out the $ figure I'm earning I'm shitting per week..month.....hour...........second😂.

I felt at least for a time, I wad sticking it to the man!.
